I never tired of exploring the Roguelike genre, especially given the unique mechanics they offer, as seen in this game. It features a sailor theme with a crew of four, each with their own distinct role. Battles take place at sea against hordes of monsters, ranging from standard monsters to elite ones and, most notably, boss-class enemies.

It doesn’t stop there; another unique feature is that this game adapts the Monopoly board game—more specifically, Solo Monopoly.

1. Construction

Features such as building construction are also available in this game. The choice of buildings is varied and, of course, relates to combat, such as providing 10% healing

, granting tokens, or offering attack or defence

bonuses in subsequent battles. The Construction icon is a hammer.

2. Chance and Community Chest

Next is the Chance and Community Chest feature; in this game, the two are combined into one, which I’ll call ‘Random Luck’. There are three possibilities: Big Luck

Small Luck, The luck icon is a piece of paper and a pen.

and Bad Luck

The effects granted are also random for all three. Big Luck and Small Luck have positive effects, whilst Bad Luck has negative effects or reduces your current stats.

3. Prison

"Is there a prison feature?" Of course there is; players must roll a 9 or higher

to be released

If they fail to roll a 9, they must defeat a random boss or the boss on Map 1 to be released. The prison icon is a box with iron bars, with a red-coloured area.

4. Mini-games

There are various mini-games; the ones I’ve tried so far include:

🗡️ Throwing a knife at a wooden block—you must not hit a knife already stuck in the block or any objects attached to it. Icon 🗡️.

🎣 Fishing for fish or objects at the bottom of the sea.

Your precision is tested here, as it requires perfect timing to obtain the desired object. Icon 🪝.

🔴 Pinball: fling a ball that bounces between objects to score points;

each bounce adds to the base score,

and there are various holes at the bottom with different multipliers: x1, x2, x3 and the highest is x5. Icon 🔴.

Blackjack: Players and NPCs compete to reach a total of 21 or get as close to 21

as possible. The winner receives tokens. Icon 🎲🎲.

5. Puzzles and Luck

There’s a shell – do you choose to smash it or listen? Icon 🐚. For luck,

choose to pray for healing or

try to pull out the sword with a small chance of success. Icon 🪠. There are two types of luck; this time you are given a choice between two options, for example, choosing more health or more power.

The one you choose will increase, whilst the other will decrease. Icon ⚖️.

6. Relics

When fighting monsters, there is a chance to obtain relics, consisting of four tiers: blue or normal, purple or rare, yellow or legendary, and red or secret

Legendary and Secret relics are more likely to be obtained when defeating elite monsters.

7. Luck Areas

There are 5 luck areas,

🔥At the start of the game, there are 2 areas: the campfire area,

which heals wounds

and after a few turns, the campfire will turn into the ⚖️ trading area, which sells random status effects and occasionally offers discounts.

Purchase using tokens earned from previous games, and the pirate treasure chest area

(chest icon).

Roulette: in this area, players are given 4 options: status roulette, attack roulette, income roulette or relic roulette.

3 🗿 icons.

Cannon: Roll the dice for a random number; the result determines the attack power against monster areas on the board. Monsters hit by the cannon will have their numbers reduced and become weaker when fought.

Steal: There are 4 to 5 chests containing a total amount to be stolen at random, ranging from 0 to the jackpot, with 3 chances given.

Game board rules

To reach the boss stage, 10 rounds are required. Every 5 turns, the boss increases the board’s difficulty, such as the number of monster zones, zones filled with monsters to fight, area-altering traps (turning neutral zones into monster zones), with 2 or more traps on a single board, and other challenges.
