Sensor Tower just released their report for top grossing Chinese mobile game publishers worldwide.
l Top 30 Chinese mobile game publisher by worldwide revenue
New season coming with a massive amount of new characters, skins and events made Honor of Kings from Tencent Games back on top of IOS's grossing rank. The revenue of Honor of Kings grew 92% while Tencent Games’ revenue grew 22% accordingly.
Genshin impact, Honkai Impact 3, and Tears of Themis’ revenue have all seen different levels of increase, resulting 52% increase in miHOYO’s revenue. With the new version 2.4 Fleeting Colors in Flight, the global revenue of Genshin Impact mobile increased by 55% compared to last December. This is also the third-highest monthly revenue since its launch in September 2020.
LinXi games’SLG mobile game Three Kingdoms Tactics
opened their second and third seasons on multiple servers in late January, the publisher’s revenue grew by 9% and secured No.7 on the list.
In January, 4399 Games launched its new SLG game Civilization and Conquest, with the popular multi-civilization theme and 4X gameplay strategy, publisher's revenue increased by 134% and moved up the ladder from 16th to 8th spot. In China, Civilization and Conquest ranked No.7 in the IOS grossing rank
 
As one of the evergreen mobile games in China, Asktao’s revenue increased by 70% after opening its Lunar New Year server, enhancing the publisher Leiiting games three spots to No.11.
Mobile anime Gacha game Arknights celebrated its Japanese 2nd anniversary with a 204% increase in revenue, advancing the publisher Yostar 9 spots to No.12 with 42% of increased revenue.
The 30 listed publishers earned over $1.1 billion overseas, accounting for 51% of the total revenue. Among them, the U.S., Japan, and South Korea’s revenues are accounted for 14.8%, 13%, and 3.5% respectively. In comparison, these publishers’ overseas total revenue was 640 million in January 2020, increased by 74.6% in the past two years. Considering the 6 billion total revenue in the overseas market this January, we believe that Chinese mobile game publishers can still have room for improvement.

Besides the aforementioned games, Tencent games’ prime FPS game CrossFire and Battle of the Golden Shovel also have significant revenue growth in January.
With the launch of a new version with new characters and skins, CrossFire increased its revenue by 58% and returned to the top 10 in the IOS grossing rank.
Thanks to brand new gameplay about the Lunar New Year, Battle of the Golden Shovel’s revenue was increased 35% and reached the second-highest monthly revenue after its launch in Aug. 2021.

Under China’s video game publishing policies, it’s very difficult for new game titles to acquire a publishing license. Companies are focusing on updating their exsistign successful games, and the top games are becoming ever-larger in terms of content and revenue.

Global Revenue Ranking of Chinese Mobile Game Publishers in April 2022
Sensor Tower data statistics show that in April 2022, a total of 38 Chinese companies were listed in the TOP 100 global mobile game publishers revenue list, with a combined profit of more than 2.3 billion dollars, accounting for 41.8% of the total revenue in the list, as reported in detail below. In April, Tencent's strategy game Return to Empire launched on March 29th and ranked 9th on China's IOS mobile game best-seller list. Combined with the outstanding performance of Game For Peace, Tencent's mobile game revenue for the period increased by 4% year on year.

Honor of Kings Topped the List of Global Mobile Game Revenues in February, Sensor Tower
According to Sensor Tower’s today’s report, Tencent’s mobile game Honor of Kings climbed one rank to the first place on the list of global top mobile game revenues in February, with 225 million USD. In January, Honor of Kings ranked the second. Also on the list were PUBG Mobile from Tencent and Genshin Impact from miHoYo, which ranked the second and third respectively. The fourth place and fifth place were Candy Crush Saga from King and Roblox from Roblox Corporation.
