After an hour or so of playing, here are my thoughts:
Gameplay - it's solid. All the essentials that make a roguelike "roguelike" are presented: power-ups, gears, pets, etc etc. I went with Kitana and an Ice gears/Crit build and honestly I tear shit up. The 2 gripes I have currently is the responsiveness of the buttons and the stunlock.
About thrice I took unnecessary damage because I pressed the button but she didn't initiate the attack and it finally cost me the run on the 3rd time.
As for the stunlock issue, it'd that it is hit-based rather than power-based. I didn't really notice at first because most enemies only do like a 1 to 2 hits combo, but the third boss (wolf swordman) has basically a Judgement Cut attack which is multi-hit, so if you're caught in it you're pretty much dead. I feel there need to be an "invincibility" period where you're briefly immune to damage or stunlock so that multi-hit attacks aren't just extremely punishing.
Sounds & graphics. Can't comment much on sound and music since there wasn't much that I noticed, graphics and animations are solid enough, with just a bit of polish and they'll be top notch. However, there need to be more variety in regard to scenery. Right now you're limited to ruins/wasteland/facility and cave for side room and that's it. Pethaps something like different biome and enemy variety after each major boss.
