According to Sensor Tower, across the App Store and Google Play, League of Legends: Wild Rift has now exceeded 500 million USD in global player spending, the top three contributors being Chinese players at 72.2%, American players at 6.8%, and South Korean players at 3.7%.
The record has made Wild Rift the second-most profitable mobile MOBA game during the first half of 2022, ranking behind Honor of Kings by Tencent and above Brawl Stars by Supercell. Interestingly, Tencent bought a majority stake of Riot and Supercell separately in 2011 and 2016, meaning Tencent currently dominates the MOBA game market.
Among the Riot-produced mobile games, Wild Rift is the most profitable one, earning 505 million USD
While Wild Rift is the most successful mobile product, Riot also owns two other mobile games, Teamfight Tactics and Legends of Runeterra, which have generated 299 million USD and 24 million USD globally. To sum up, Riot has earned 828 million USD since entering the mobile market in March 2020.
