Hello guys, let's continue to share our thoughts to create a fun and competitive mobile shooting game. Today it's about heroes, roles and abilities in Project RushB.
Traditionally, players rely on grenades, flashbangs, and other props to help themselves take advantage in battle. That's the beauty of a tactical shooter game. However, when the types of props are limited, the diversity of tactics could be somehow limited.
That's the thought that drives us to make the game hero-based and ability-based. Although this was not our first idea when we made RushB, we would love to see what could happen if we merge it with our design philosophy-the depth of competitive gameplay.
We started making abilities that have more effects and varieties, which create more possibilities for tactics. Defense abilities such as turrets and mines, movement abilities like dash and transport. There are more than 30 abilities and 6 effect types, including classic effects such as flashes and smokes.

For example, use a turret to help you guard an area. Then, it can help expose an enemy's position and make them an easy target.
What is beyond our expectations is how players can use their abilities to explore more tactical routes on the map. That is what we would like to see. Tactical abilities combined with the depth of gameplay. The boundaries have been expanded for you guys to explore!
It's not enough to make abilities one of the important components of our gameplay. Specific sets of abilities determine the unique gameplay for heroes and allows us to create roles.
There are roles like reckons, breakers, zoners, and specialists. For example, Reckon specializes in finding where enemies are, while Zoner is good at shaping the terrain in order to take advantage. Instead of one player doing all things like blocking visions or blinding enemies. Each role has its unique responsibilities during battle. It also creates more possibilities for teamwork.
These thoughts shape the current hero protocol that we can see now. There are four roles of a hero and the role determines what types of abilities the hero can have. But no matter what, each hero has three abilities: Signature, Basic and Ultimate.
Different abilities create a variety of gameplay situations in all phases of the game - both for the attacker side and for the defender side. Heroes play their part in the game based on their roles. Teamwork is required. Various possibilities of tactics will thus be created.
