Grand Chase (GC) is looks fun and unique at first, but i'm not gonna to recommend it, because :
+ The graphic is one of the main charm of GC. Female characters are waifuable.
ahem~ let's get serious...
- The developer (KOG) is extremely lazy. They don't care much with bug, typo, non-competitive cheater, also old game feature and system improvement.
- Poor game optimization and drain lots of phone battery.
- Terrible story and full of poor writing. E.g. encounter random characters which suddenly come into fight, and some of those become as playable character and feels forced to story.
- Reuse asset, especially character arts and musics (musics are mostly from original GC PC game).
- SR (technically SSR) playable character is just bunch of randoms with a little background story. Tho original GCPC characters are more likeable imo.
- Non SR characters are useless, even if some are usable, it will be useless later, because KOG keep trying to make all SR character useful.
- New character or a character which obtain a latest update is overpowered.
- Powercreep meta, either for PvE or PvP.
- Braindead gameplay, also character do auto attack whenever near the enemy. So, just bring meta teams or copying other players lineup, and press auto skill to win.
- Very grindy, have a lot of contents, but lacking of skip or sweep feature. Even, event on GC is a slavery too.
- Weekly content (Hell's Furnace) is stupid and time-consuming, also have a lot of rewards than monthly content (Berkas who?).
- KOG is trying much to give proper hard content or event, but imo it's always failed and forgot if it's not suited for the gameplay, even some hard contents are not suited for players with bad eyesight or older eyes (maybe the game don't have a real tester).
- Also, trying to give a big update, but make GC less unique and extra absurd, like suddenly release attribute system and can bring a same character (with a different class, known as T character) into one party.
- Boring and predictable in-game update.
- GC is just a cash grab. Paid skins, package, and items everywhere (*cough* latest T character update). Also, there are daily (15x) ads on this game.
- Only KR voices for T characters.
- BP different with spender is keep going bigger and bigger for each main update.
- Dead game, not much active players. Even, it's easy to enter top 1000 on every ranking board.
- etc.
Tl;dr GC is a cashgrab, no fun, grindy games, and the dev don't care much with their players.

Extra, if you're looking for time-consuming or grinding RPG, i suggest play a similar game which still have a lot of active players or more fun.
For example : Granblue Fantasy, FGO, Arknights, Another Eden, etc.

Good decent F2p strategy game.
I know, it has a RPG kinda battle.but, overall i can give only 4/5 stars.
Things which i liked in the game:
- graphics - look nice
-characters - the characters designs looks fine.
(May not so qualitative. But, i hope bili works on this in the future.)
-battle system - although i am not a fan of turn- based games. But, the playstyle is sufficient enough for my need. As, this is a sidegame alongside genshin (currently my main).

I never usually keep game reviews but this is an amazing game that made me change my mind on gacha games. This game has an interesting, compelling story that is amazingly written to pull you into the world making you want to learn more about it. Although the combat for the earlier characters are basic and mostly the same the newer characters are polished to the point that having them will change your perspective of the game. This is a testament to kuro's attention to the playerbase's feedback and their determination to push this game to its limit. It is also amazing how generous they are with the ability to unlock all characters as a f2p player. But there are some flaws with the game. Mainly being that for new players they will have to suffer for awhile before they get the good parts as the storytelling in the beginning is bad. This has been mitigated by the community with the grayravens.com website which is very useful with character guides and story summaries. The only other downside that this game has is that to get a fully functional team you need to play for multiple months if you start late. But this will be fixed in a year or so as there will be enough character selectors to get an entire team for new players. Overall this is an amazing game with amazing story and amazing characters although the old character designs are mostly bad, the new ones are so good it doesn't matter.

A game with a very slow start...
Punishing Gray Raven currently has the best action combat in a gaccha game. It's a game I played on day one and I came back to on 3 occasions but now, I have finally decided to let it go.
From my memory, the story didn't really pick steam for me until way late into chapter 15 and went on to get better and better with chapter 17 actually climaxing as one of the most impactful story chapter I read in a gaccha game. But then the story seems to take a 180 turn and focus on alternative timelines in chapter 18 like.....I don't really care and I lost interest again...
