Mech Arena: Robot Showdown is probably the hottest shooter in 2022! Essentially this is a 5v5 Team Shooter while you ride around in mechs trying to annihilate the other team, sounds pretty simple right? Well you are correct this mobile shooter is quite simple in nature.
The game sets you off with a balanced mech that can get you through most of your time in mech arena of course with upgrades. Different mechs have many ways of approaching battle and with there own perks. I actually got chance to sit down and play mech arena and it has great PC compatibility definitely a first since most games lack the power to fully use Mouse and Keyboard key binds i was very impressed from the start.
I do want to touch on a few components based on my experience with mech arena. Mech Arena excels the most during its gameplay and the actual fun part of riding around in mechs is crafting the gear and upgrading in between your battles to be even more powerful for the next match. Upgrading your mech is actually fairly simple and i love after enough team matches you can join the big dogs and start doing ranked matches.
Now with any game i play i always play as a free to player to get the general public experiences in mobile games. For the time ive spent in mech arena i didn't feel the need to really spend money since i rarely do that. Depending on if you are a whale that want to spend money then you can but i don't think you need to actually spend money to have fun in this game. Now hold that with a grain of salt since i do not know how life is in the higher ranks in the game.

The futuristic world of Omega 13 was enough to grab my attention, but considering all this game has to offer: cool customizations, atmospheric music, and of course, badass mech fighting, it's a stylish game that's worth checking out.
The biggest issue for me was figuring out the mech controls. Once I did that, the gameplay was pretty straightforward. Omega 13 utilizes a turn-based combat system over a grid-based map. You can use the pedals to move your mech and attack enemy fighters. The controls made it feel like I was in the cockpit because, with the movement and combat, Omega 13 provides some weightiness to the mechs. Well, at least as much as you can from a smartphone device.
