Games worth discovering
Lots of potential; currently frustrating.
1K View2022-10-27Graphics look very good coming from a solo dev, class varieties are quite intriguing to tempt players for another run. Those are the good qualities.
Biggest put-off though is the bosses always have a one-shot skill even from the 1st boss. This difficulty spike is surprising not in a cool or amusing way. For that, yes I have to deduct 2â from what could be 4 or even 5â.
The roguelike element is on point though. I had 3 runs so far; the 2nd one I managed to reach I think boss#3 while not knowing what I was building! ð The tutorial could be designed better; rn it's too much text & players are a lazy bunch. I'll have more to say after I play more runs, might even up the â rating.

Really a good game, with great potential but not perfect
â¢As for the graphics, it's really good, the locations are well structured and quite different from each other.
â¢While the sound isn't that great, it's good all in all but quite monotonous, the soundtrack is repetitive while the sound effects are normal they should be improved, It would be great to add more ambient sounds.
â¢The characters are many and interesting, with different abilities, with a proper upgrade and skin system, it would be nice to have your own main character to create and customize.

After an hour or so of playing, here are my thoughts:
Gameplay - it's solid. All the essentials that make a roguelike "roguelike" are presented: power-ups, gears, pets, etc etc. I went with Kitana and an Ice gears/Crit build and honestly I tear shit up. The 2 gripes I have currently is the responsiveness of the buttons and the stunlock.
About thrice I took unnecessary damage because I pressed the button but she didn't initiate the attack and it finally cost me the run on the 3rd time.

My Thoughts So Far
So I have gotten my account to level 15 so far in the game and these are just my thoughts on the game overall.
1) Gameplay-wise is unique and does require strategy. Although some mechanics are confusing and dont tell you right off the bat, it is still an interesting concept nonetheless. Like for example, I never knew what stance 1 or stance 2 were at all. I had to continuously play to understand that mechanic.
