20 Pokémon characters inspired by real wild animals(2/4)
It is customary for Pokémon designs to draw inspiration from real-world animals. This approach not only enhances our connection with Pokémon but also allows for artistic modifications that make them even more extraordinary, distinct, and endearing Now, let's take a look at the five Pokémon of the day. 1.Psyduck/platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) There's no denying the inspiration behind this Pokémon. I mean, seriously, where else can you find a creature sporting both luscious hair and a bill like a duck? Just like the platypus, this character is also at home in the water, inhabiting freshwater lakes, ponds, and rivers.

20 Pokémon characters inspired by real wild animals(4/4)
Here comes our final part, thank you for having watched my post so far.. 1. Zigzagoon / Raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) This enchanting character is inspired by a delightfully adorable member of the canid family, the Japanese raccoon dog. Native to Japan, they share a close kinship with the common raccoon dog (N. procyonoides) and have a more distant relation to foxes (as opposed to raccoons, which belong to the Procyonidae family). Also known as tanuki, raccoon dogs hold significant significance in Japanese folklore. They feature in tales as mischievous tricksters, capable of effortless shape-shifting, including transforming into humans, and even captivating with their melodic songs.
