4K View2022-12-06I mean, it's Pokémon in MOBA form, so what's not to love? The game is fun and balanced, and the absence of a real-money gacha system is a breath of fresh air. There are events to participate in, which keeps things fresh, and a fair amount of freebies, although of course the coolest stuff is locked behind a paywall, which is the norm these days. That being said, the game is 100% playable as a free-to-play player, and doesn't really lose too much of its enjoyability as such. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Pokémon even if they've never played a MOBA before. Unite was actually my first true foray into the genre, and I'll admit that I wasn't a big fan of MOBAs before I played it. The Pokémon branding was the main reason I gave it a go to begin with, and I'm glad I did.
