Haak PROS and CONS. Is it worth it?

Haak is a fantastic game, that have a lot of good sides and several pretty decent weak points. In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of HAAK so you can decide if this is the right game for you.
PROS
1. Fantastic visuals. Game looks great, feels great, animation is fantastic and smooth. It is easy to see that a lot of work has been put into making the game look good.
2. Sound design. Haak have great ambient sounds, music during intense fights and sfx that are pleasant to the ear on activities like weapon swinging, using skill or even opening a store terminal
3. Storyline. Haak is an exception from the most platformer games, it have great engaging story and fun dialogues. Curious characters and intriguing post-apocalyptic setting. Its interesting to read dialogues and learn what happened to the world. And there is always a skip button for people who doesnt want that.
4. Solid progression mechanics. A lot of upgrades for all your weapons and skills. Its uncommon in platformers, but Haak made it all right. Collecting resources for the upgrades, health and energy upgrades and more will fill your need for the character progression.
CONS
1. Horrible controls at the boss fights. Controls overlay, and fingers that are pressing them are closing about 50% of the screen in the boss fights. This prevents you from properly avoiding and countering boss attacks. For the most of the game your character is in the middle of the screen, but on the boss fights you have fixed "camera" and your character runs around the boss room.
2. AD on each death. Haak is a pretty hardcore experience. You will die and you will die a lot. And after every death you will be forced to watch a 30-second ad. It can be mitigated by either being good at the game or buying it though.
3. Some jumping puzzles are a little bit too hard. Maybe its the controls, or just me, but some of the jumping puzzles Ive encountered made me want to stop playing after trying them for 20 minutes. Although with enough patience they can be beaten.
Verdict
Overall with all Pros and Cons considered Haak is still a fantastic game. Specifically if you buy it to avoid ads upon death. If you have external controller it will be even better. Its pretty great that its available for free for all the players to try it and decide if they want to buy it or not.

One of the best platformer puzzle adventure Ive ever played.
I loved Haak visual and audio design, game looks fantastic and control feels smooth. Animations are on point as well, although there are some serious drawbacks as well that were really annoying. We will talk about all that in this review.
Haak is a platformer action-puzzle adventure game where you take a role of a sole adventurer who is looking for his brother. On your journey you will encounter multiple puzzles, jumping sequences, enemies and bosses. You will use different skills and tools in order to go though the game.

There are very few 2d platforms which are this immersive. Haak is one of the few which makes it your time worthwhile, its storyline is beautiful, the game design and character design are amazing.

Your complaints about controls are dumb seeing you can use a Bluetooth controller to play the game. Any game that uses full controller support for a mobile game should be played in that way. try it with a controller then you might find a new pro.

If you are further into the story, like at the mountains, do you also have really bad fps there? That's one of the cons i have about the game

In the settings turn "God Rays" to low... removed the lag for me
