It's Cave Story a.k.a Doukutsu Monogatari. Well.. I guess I can say it's an underrated game.
It's a pixelated game developed by a Japanese game studio named Pixel and published by Nicalis.
Not only the most challenging platformer, but to me it's also the most memorable and sweetest story-based game. The gameplay and all of its soundtracks are great!

The game is fun and challenging. I love puzzle game like this. The graphic is also amazing, the detail, environment, and ambient of a cave feel reals. but the point that maybe neet to consider is the ads. to play the level you need to watch the 30's ads. however, the game is worth to play. Nice game!

Im an old fan of this game series , i like the art and the design , the atmosphere is cool and darky at the same time the game play is simple , you are in a 2d world caves and dungeons try to keep going but remember if yoy lose the greedy cave will take every thing from you..!

A retro-themed game which you would love to see in arcades.
The game really reminds me of this game in Nintendo called Spelunker. Where you would be as an adventurer diving deep into the caves of the abyss (exaggerating), and you would need to overcome levels, break obstacles, and kill creatures wandering underneath. And the same as that game, you die, you go back from the start. This could be a game that can be played with friends and beat each other's high scores.
