Today's game we are looking at is called Depersonalization
Summary:
Depersonalization is a COC-like RPG game. TRPG! Dice! Cthulhu! Bad End! Multi-branch! A different world is starting from zero!
The game consists of multiple modules with multiple endings and branch routes, striving to build a diverse, themed world.
My Experience:
So I need clarification about the story and gameplay, but I understand how it works. I don't have too many harsh judgments besides the Robotic audio, for all the characters throw it off how each situation feels. ( hopefully, they will have better character audio )
The Dice rolling system to see if you succeed or fail feels abit one-sided at the beginning of the game like you fail way more than you do to get out of the situation.
** NOTE THIS IS A EARLY ACCESS GAME**
What could be improved in Depersonalization
Explain the battle System alittle bit better
The story felt dragged on abit
The main character feels way weaker, even with the umbrella.
Update the Dice system abit so you can gain more Luck in situations.
Pros and Cons of Depersonalization
Pros:
Pixel art is amazing
Great detail in the progression system
Using D&D mechanics to help the progression of the game
Cons:
The game was slightly confusing
Not much of a tutorial
Robotic Audio kind of throws off the vibe in certain moments of the game
Verdict:
This game isn't bad, but it took me some time to understand. Other than that, it was slightly confusing at certain moments, but the Pixel art visuals were excellent, and some of the combat also took some time to get used to
Depersonalization gets a score of
Wait until you buy.
but wait until the full release, so I leave it up to you if you want early access
