Alliance Alive HD Remastered offers a well-written story, an exciting world to explore, and a cool 3D visual style. Unfortunately, the controls on the iOS port made it incredibly clunky to play!
I love RPGs, and Alliance Alive HD Rematestered has everything I'm looking for in the genre. Interesting characters, an exciting world, and many ways to build my characters. Even the cutesy 3D animation offered a funny and distinctive style.
Unfortunately, playing this title was a chore on my iOS! The D-pad requires swipes to move instead of a sticky board. That would have made it easier to fight and navigate the menu. Additionally, selecting skills was chaotic on my phone screen. The Ok/Cancel buttons were awkwardly placed and mashed next to each other, so I frequently hit cancel when I meant to hit ok.
This meant most of the time spent on Alliance Alive HD Remastered was fighting the controls instead of monsters. Don't get me wrong, the game itself is great, but if you're playing on an iPhone user, beware!

This Game Should NOT Be A Mobile Port!
Alliance Alive HD Remastered has a mobile port version and boy is it bad! The initial cost is $11.99 USD and it is not worth it. The biggest problem is the controls. They are so bad that it completely destroys any fun you may have. It took me 10 minutes before I even Figured out that there was a virtual D pad on the left side of your device that only shows up when you leave you thumb on the screen in that area. On the right side you need to push the screen to bring up a strange looking circle that has you push the middle circle to confirm a choice or slide your finger up to cancel or back out of a menu.

MY OVERALL SCORE 6/10
The game has some of the worst controls I have ever seen. Navigating menus is horrible and hurts the experience. The best parts of the game are the story and characters. Building out your characters and the RPG elements also are done very well.

Alliance Alive HD Remaster - A CLASSIC JRPG Full of Chibis
Alliance Alive HD Remaster is a game that I recently played and I have to say, while the game looked pretty cute, it wasn't really for me.
Gameplay wise it plays like a classic JRPG turn based game. You and your friend are going on an adventure and meet various people along the way, the combat is turn based and pretty easy to pick up, you also have talents that you can invest in for each party member to make them stronger as well.
