Idle Shadows has some clunky UI...

Idle Shadows is your typical idle game with some flaws. The game plays in vertical mode which I already hate. The main problem with the UI is that everything is just crammed onto the main battle menu. When you want to upgrade your characters skills or anything you just click on the tab and a very small section opens up under the battle screen. You need to scroll to see all the different stats and determine which you want to upgrade. I would rather see this added as a full screen experience to see everything better. The menus need some serious work.
It does have a button on the right that can expand it slightly, but it really doesn't help much. The audio was decent but nothing amazing. It at least has some background music. The game has lots of different ways to spend money to speed up progress. The game also lets you watch ads to get time limited buffs to your character. This is all pretty typical when it comes to these idle games. Many features are locked at the beginning, and you will see a lock icon over it. This is a nice feature so new players don't get overwhelmed with content. However, there is no indication of when you can unlock these features.
Overall, it's a decent idle game but I have seen better. If you like the vertical aspect, then it is worth a try. Otherwise, I would say find another idle game because better ones are out there. I would give this a score of 5/10 I think it's about an average game at best.

A typical idle game with nothing really new...
Idle shadow feels like an average game. Everything in this game can be found in other idle mobile games but better. I dislike the vertical play style the game has. The worst part is that they have all the upgrades for your character shown underneath the battle scene. It feels like they just tried to squish it in there and be lazy instead of making a new menu system for it to show up and cover the screen. When I am upgrading my character and assigning skills points, I am not looking at the battles, so it seems pointless for them to do this.

Really great idle game, I've played this since it was first released now that Jagex have publishing right's I can see much more been added.
Not your traditional Idle game however, lots of skills to train, combat you do need to be active and watching while levelling it as progressing through the combat system to get better gear requires attention.

Let's be honest, I'm not that much into idle games but for me this one is masterpiece in its genre. Interesting characters design that breaks stereotypes. We have musician warrior, agressive fire healer, "loli" as tank with azur lane reference, demon girl with kind of double personality, elf girl with stereotype "elf archer" look that is actually a tank and much more. All those unique characters come with many skills, mechanics and builds. There's a lot of game modes and activity types but tbh they feel much more consistent than in other similar games. I go from one activity to another without feeling that something is redundant. Also, to make those feelings even better we get brilliant graphics and advanced skill animations connected with awesome soundtrack. BUT i have to give one less star simply because of bugs. They don't appear very often but when they do it's hard to not to feel it as game can even crash sometimes. Ik, game is really fresh and I'm sure they will fix that but for now 4/5
