I never played the original Isoland, but after spending some time with Isoland 2: Ashes of Time, I'm going to have to go back and check it out! This is one of the most mind-bending, headache-inducing adventure games I've ever had the pleasure of being stumped by.
A big part of the appeal of Isoland 2 is its visuals. The game uses a delighful cartoon style that made exploring this odd island full of riddles all the more entertaining. And though it's light on story, I ran into a few other colorful characters that added to the atmosphere.
The real star of the show, though, is the puzzles, of course! Isoland 2's brainteasers often had me staring at my screen in confusion for tens of minutes at a time before figuring out a solution. But all that work made each bit of progress feel even sweeter. And thankfully the game has a fairly friendly hint system, although you need to spend in-game currency (or pay real money) if you want more substantial clues.
I'm nowhere near done figuring out what the heck is going on in Isoland 2, but I think I'm going to take a break from it to rest my brain... Nah, just kidding, I'm downloading the first one to see how badly that busts my noggin.

Isoland 2: Ashes of Time is a MYSTERY Game that is NOT For ME!
Isoland 2: Ashes of Time is the type of game that honestly isn't the one for me. This is a mystery detective point and click type of game that is a bit too intense for my type. Gameplay wise this game has you go around many different locations on this island, trying to solve all the puzzles. If you can even find the puzzles that need solving. The game can be played in any direction, with its non linear style of game play so there is no correct way of playing the progression.

One Of The Hardest Puzzle Games I've Played This Year!
Isoland 2: Ashes Of Time is a tall order for a non-linear puzzle game. This puzzle point and click game is probably one of my favorite in the genre. So What is Isoland 2: Ashes of Time this game is essentially a story-driven point-and-click adventure game with tons of puzzles for iOS and Android devices. So let's just say that when it begins, you're on a remote island and have to figure out, well, everything: where to go, what to do, how to get a door open, etc. Players have flexibility to pursue any puzzles they want in any order, and can also change the flow of time to uncover clues to help them solve some of the brainteasers they're confronted with. Eventually, you'll put the pieces together and discover what's happening on this strange little island.

Isoland 2: Ashes of Time is a PUZZLE SOLVING Point and Click Game
Isoland 2: Ashes of Time is one of those point and click puzzle solving kind of games that I'm not a fan of. You have to basically become a detective and piece together all the clues in order to solve the complete games problems. There is free hints that you can check out, but they are pretty vague since they're free. You can pay for better hints if you are feeling pretty loose with your money, but if you want to do this the right way, you will have to take notes using the provided notepad that the game gives you. Or you could take down notes on a physical paper if you like. The game is non linear so you can choose any progression that you like. While this is not the game for me as it's not my preference... If YOU like these types of games, you should definitely give it a shot.
