We have a new Fire Emblem game finally released, and I'm not too fond of the story of this game. This game is a copy and paste from Fire Emblem Awakening on the 3DS.
Besides the lack of a new story, the gameplay is exciting and different from other Fire Emblems. I wish Nintendo took the time to get serious with the story for Fire Emblem...
Summary:
In a war against the Fell Dragon, four kingdoms worked together with heroes from other worlds to seal away this great evil. One-thousand years later, this seal has weakened, and the Fell Dragon is about to reawaken. As a Divine Dragon, use rich strategies and robust customization to meet your destiny—to collect 12 Emblem Rings and bring peace back to the Continent of Elyos.
My Experience:
Honestly, this has been a weird experience with this game. The gameplay was a fun experience, seeing past Fire Emblem Characters, some new characters are interesting, and Fusions with the past characters.
BUT!!!!!!!!!
This game...sorry to say this soo CRINGE!!!
The only reason why I say this is because it's a copy and paste of Awakening! Nintendo didn't even try to make something new! If you haven't played Awakening before, you might love this story. If you have played Awakening, you will soon realize that this is a copy and paste.
This upsets me abit after noticing it from the cover of this game. Even some other Youtubers have noticed the similarities...this sadly gives me some lesser hope for future Fire Emblem Games.
Pros and Cons of Fire Emblem Engage
Pros:
Fusions with Old Fire Emblem Characters
Gameplay is unique
Great characters
It makes it abit Easier for Healers to defend
themselves
Easier to level grind
English Sub sounds better than Dub
Cons:
The story could be better...Cringe
Nintendo...do better
Verdict:
Even with the story being a copy and paste, the gameplay was something I liked since it's something new from the usual Fire Emblems, but if only the story didn't feel like someone that has never played fire emblem before writing it.

For mostly the gameplay, the story probably not
