I've been playing FFXIV almost daily for almost 8 years, and will likely still be playing until the moment the servers shut down for good. There's just something about it that keeps me drawn in. The story is absolutely amazing, especially in the Shadowbringers and Endwalker expansions. The voice acting is superb, the content (dungeons, trials, raids, etc) are addicting and fun, and there are always fun seasonal events to do to get cool (and free) stuff (mounts, armour glam, emotes, etc) from. Don't be put off by the monthly sub; I cannot express how much it is worth every bit of it. And if you're wanting to try it out, there's always the free trial which lets you play through the base game AND the whole first expansion (there are 4 total, so far) and up to level 60. For those who wish to try it and end up subscribing, inbox me for my referral code, and you can get some pretty cool free stuff from that as well.
May you ever walk in the light of the crystal, Warriors of Light.
Not sure why it won't let me tag the game, but I tried.

You don't need to be a final fantasy fan to enjoy FFXIV, because I am definitely not. From engaging history to complex raids, this game has content for every type of player. With thousands of hours, I'm not planning on leaving so soon.
