Did I just get ripped off? Shadow Slayer: The Dark Knight is a premium version of Shadow Slayer: The Dark Impact. The former, which I paid for and played, costs $4.99; the latter is free-to-play. So what did my money get me? I couldn't tell you.
The core gameplay of both the Shadow Slayer titles is solid. It's basically like little mini Castlevania levels mixed in with traditional gacha mobile game grinding and daily quests and such. Not the most groundbreaking structure, but the gameplay is more engaging than the average gacha title.
But I still don't understand what the difference is between the premium and free-to-play versions. Even though The Dark Knight costs $4.99, it still has a store loaded with microtransactions, it still bombarded me with opportunities to watch ads to increase my rewards, and it still felt like a game designed to drain my wallet even further.
I guess I started the game with some gold and premium gacha tickets. Is that all I paid for?! I feel like I got scammed.

Shadow Slayer: The Dark Knight - A Pretty Fun ACTION Side Scroller
I recently tried out the premium version of Shadow Slayer, called The Dark Knight, and it's basically just the exact same game, minus the ads, and some extra benefits like getting some free x10 armor gacha tickets. Other than that this game really doesn't seem like it's worth the 4.99USD price tag for the premium version of the game. The gameplay is pretty decent though, but I did find the dash to be a bit weird. Visually the game is great though. I really love the art style. The dark gothic vibes this game gives off is really up my alley. I think this game is pretty fun to be honest, I just don't think it's worth the price tag the game is offering.

Shadow Slayer: The Dark Knight - A Visually GORGEOUS Premium Action Game
Shadow Slayer: The Dark Knight is the premium version of the game Shadow Slayer: The Dark Impact. And for the most part I enjoyed it but somethings come to mind that just could be improved on. Gameplay wise you seem to be able to control 2 characters, a melee male character and a spell caster female character. The skills are gradually unlocked as you progress through the game and you can do things such as double jump and dash. Though I did feel like the dash could be improved on, It didn't seem as good as having an actual dodge feature. Though it was okay I suppose. Each mission costs keys, and they cost of the keys for each mission is 10 keys, which I personally think is way too expensive. You do gain 10 keys per level up, but if any of you have ever played these types of games where missions cost a currency to enter, you all know that at some point you will not gain levels fast enough to gain enough keys to progress any further.

To put it bluntly - it's really not worth it. If you have played and completed Shadow Fight 2, this is just a cash grab of that beloved game sprinkled with roguelike elements. On top of that with the monetization of Shadows 3 and 4, so you're not missing anything here other than the fact that it's Shadow Fight 2 sequel with Shadow 3 and 4 monetization
