Kensho, or should I say Kenshō is a fantastic puzzle game, from the very first moment you are being carried away into the surreal world of digital nature. Small storyline that develops between the puzzles got me curious from the very start, that adds some motivation to the pretty hard puzzles.
Game Mechanics
Main puzzle sequence isnt really hard, you have to move all the tile to one of the sides of the board and one more will spawn. Tiles can be of different colors. If you match 3 and more they will disappear. Its a familiar design, easy to get, but hard to master.
Although unlike most puzzle games your main goal isnt matching as many tiles as possible, its to match special tile that have a key part inside. And you need to do it 5 times to get one key.
As you move through the levels puzzles become harder, you get blocks that cannot be destroyed, they can be sticky and dont move, or move only in specific direction. So you will have to focus and think harder on how to get to your goal.
Although if it feels too hard, do not worry. If you fail and your board will get full you will just start over with the same amount of unlocked key parts, so you wont lose anything. When I learned that I felt so much better, so I can fail as much as I want and still have some slow progress.
Main Area
You enter Puzzle areas through the doors that are located in the main hall, where cube and magical (or digital?) animals are. This is a very cool, beautiful zone. And thats where the story develops.
Every time you complete a puzzle inside of a door you will have to solve a small puzzle on the next one, before entering it. When you will be able to do that and the door will open it will unleash some energy into the cube and something will happen in the hall. Then you can continue matching tiles in that room.
Conclusion
Overall I wasnt expecting that nice graphics ins a puzzle game and the main hall is fantastic chill place. Puzzles themselves are pretty challenging though, but with enough patience anyone will be able to go through them, since you cant lose. Its a fun puzzle game and I can recommend it.
