Kensho is a great puzzle game, that is forgiving for new and unexperienced players. You can play this game and relax, but does it have some flaws?
In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of Kensho so you can decide if this is the right game for you.
PROS
1. Beginner Friendly Puzzles.
Dont get me wrong, they are not that easy. Its just that if you fail you wont have to start from the scratch. All key parts you got before you fail and your board gets full will stay, so you can play to you own enjoyment.
2. Fantastic hall area.
I really felt good when I got into that area and got cube and deer unlocked. Its so heartwarming to see them exploring the world around and interacting with each other.
3. Great graphics and effects.
Most puzzle games have very simple graphics, but Kensho isnt one of them. It looks great, effects are nice too. So simple puzzle games can look good. And when you get to the Hall area, graphics flourishes with colors, effects, glow and everything. Yes, I liked hall area that much.
CONS
1. Fully random levels.
It can be a bad thing for people who are looking for guides, since you wont find one. Tile drops are random, so you cant plan ahead based on your previous playthrough. But since you can really lose its irrelevant.
2. Lack of interaction in the hall.
I really expected some sort of interaction in the hall, since its easy to tell how much work have been put into it. Sadly most interactions are happening when you unlock new door.
Verdict. Is Kensho good?
YES! Kensho is a very good classical puzzle game, where you will have match tiles. Graphics adds a layer of polish to it, and the gameplay is easy to get. Moreover you cant lose, so its a perfect game to relax after a hard day or just to relieve some stress. I can recommend it to people who like puzzle games.
