Dust Lands PROS and CONS. Is it Good?

Dust Lands is a game that mixes several genres in it. You have RPG and Strategy mixed together. But do they mix well?

In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of Dust Lands so you can decide if this is the right game for you.

PROS

1. Good Graphics.

Characters, their game models, buildings and everything looks pretty good. Monster swarms in RPG part of the game are looking nice too and fun to fight because of visual effects.

2. Captivating Gameplay.

I played those kind of games before and they have something in them that just makes you want to play it more. Dust Lands base development, resource management, army construction and RPG elements are really fun, but not without its flaws.

3. Fast progression (early game)

Dust Lands wont let you get bored early on. Things are being built fast, you dont need big armies, a lot of resources and you have a lot of speed ups. You uncover new buildings and mechanics and progress the campaign fast, that makes you enjoy the game a lot.

CONS

1. Highly P2W

Sadly, like any other games that features those strategy elements like Dust Lands after about week of playing you will feel the flaws of the game. Things are getting slow, farming becomes grindy, p2w players emerge and become top of the server. You just cannot fight p2w players, if they will decide they will make you their farm. The only way to mitigate this is being online 24/7 and reacting to attacks instantly.

2. Slow progression (late game)

The further you are in the Dust Lands the harder it will get to harvest enough resources for the upgrade, keep your army up and building wait times can get ridiculous, like days and maybe weeks. The main way to speed this up - buying the speedups, so yeah, f2p players will suffer.

3. Bland RPG Gameplay

Even though Dust Lands progression is fast and good, you can even equip and get talents to your heroes, the fighting itself is extremely simple. Heroes just autoattack, and can use skill. Not that much tactical outside of proper skill timing.

Verdict. Is Dust Lands Good?

Play if you know where you are going.

Overall Dust Lands isnt worse than any other mobile strategies of this kind. It have very strong RPG element to it, but the strategy part can ruin everything with p2w players going after your resources. Shields are expensive, and one strong player can take out entire alliance. So make sure you know about that before investing your time and money in Dust Lands.
