Project: Muse-Rhythm Star is an addictive rhythm game with an array of songs to choose from and really aesthetically pleasing, pastel-hued visuals to look at. Even though I’m a total loser when it comes to rhythm games, I had a comfortable time playing Project: Muse-Rhythm Star, thanks to its in-depth tutorial and beginner-friendly songs.
Whether you’re a fan of disco music or punk rock and maybe even some generic pop, Project: Muse-Rhythm Star has a lot of tunes to choose from that’ll suit almost anyone’s preference. I’ve only unlocked seventeen songs, but if I wanted to get more, there’s a long list of tunes that I could purchase with in-game currency (which is acquired by playing) or real money.
From the songs I’ve acquired, though, I personally love most of the electric, pop tracks it had to offer like Rain Rainbow and Gift. Despite having the reflexes of a turtle, I did fairly well playing through these songs on Project: Muse-Rhythm Star’s easy difficulty. There are three difficulty levels: easy, normal, and hard. But in order to play on normal, I needed to perfectly get through the easy difficulty level. The same goes for hard when playing on the normal difficulty level.
Besides listening to great music, Project: Muse-Rhythm Star had a lot of things I could customize too. I could customize themes, character spaces that helped me get more scores for certain songs, and even cursor-like pets called Elfs that followed the beat of the music. Although this part of the game required me to grind resources to purchase the customizations, I liked that I could mix and match different things to bling out my account. Beyond this, the only thing to watch out for is pesky ads, but if you can get over that then Project: Muse-Rhythm Star is one rhythm game worth playing, especially if you love music as much as me.
