Card Hog - Dungeon Crawler is a bit confusing at the start with a subpar tutorial. The main objective is to just survive as long as you can by interacting with cards that are adjacent to your character card. You will face enemies and traps, along with loot drops and merchants. It has some slight RPG elements to it but nothing overly complicated. My problem with the gameplay is that there is no clear sense of goal. You never feel like you're progressing towards anything. The game has a few different dungeon levels for you to play through, but they all are generally the same concept... which is just try and survive. The game would have been better if you had levels to complete which would then give you a storyline for the character.
One thing that I really do like is the customization they have for the characters. They are a bunch of different cosmetics you can unlock to spice up your characters look. They also have several different characters you can play as and unlock that each have a unique playstyle with different effects. So in a sense the only real progression is trying to unlock new characters and cosmetics. Monetization wise there was no cash shop but there was optional rewards you can earn by watching ads.
Overall, it is a pretty decent game and can entertain you for some time once you understand the gameplay and concept. However, this isn't something I see very many people playing for months on end maybe not even weeks.
