I’ve invested hundreds of hours into Among Us and every time I play, it always seems to feel like a brand-new experience. Among Us is a social deduction game where you play with other people and figure out the imposter among you. The imposter is a killer disguised as a crew member that seeks to eliminate every living survivor in the match. It’s up to you to find out who the killer may be using strategy and information during meetings, all while doing tasks. I’ve personally had so, so much fun playing Among Us and have spent the last two years relishing the game. I enjoy playing as a detective and figuring out the killer, but I’m a god-awful impostor myself. That said, if there’s one game about deception everyone should play at least once, it’s Among Us.

Like Among Us, Goose Goose Duck is also a social deduction game where you find out the killer among the crew of survivors. In this case, you must find the duck out of all the geese in the match to win as a crew. The cool part about Goose Goose Duck that Among Us doesn’t fulfill to the fullest potential are maps and roles. There are a lot more maps to choose from in Goose Goose Duck and various different roles pick up to freshen gameplay. Although the visuals and interface aren’t as polished as Among Us, Goose Goose Duck features a lot more content which can be refreshing and very entertaining. Oh, and there’s a new Bloodhaven update out too which is another reason to play Goose Goose Duck.

Deceive Inc. is one of my favorite games about deception because it’s a lot different from other titles out there. It’s a spy game with shooter elements where you disguise yourself as ordinary civilians in order to get more information to then steal a valuable item from a secure building. The problem is that there are other spies with the same mission and you need to either eliminate your rivals with weapons or beat them at their own game. There are different characters with various weapons and items to bring on your heists and an array of maps to stumble upon. Deceive Inc. is really addictive and worth playing if you’re looking for something different to spice things up.

Compared to Goose Goose Duck, Deceit is much scarier and spooky. Trapped inside an abandoned asylum, you must figure out which one of the survivors among the rest carries a deadly virus inside of them. The survivors must traverse through three zones and reach an escape hatch to survive. Choices matter in Deceit too. You can scavenge for tools and materials with your crew or fight them to take whatever is necessary to keep you alive. The infected killer will collect blood and attempt to cover up sabotages, while the survivors will hunt for clues and keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. At the end of each zone, the virus will activate, causing the killer to transform into a monster that can devour and kill survivors. If you’re interested in something closer to Dead by Daylight but feel like Among Us, Deceit is definitely the perfect choice for you.
