Destiny Saga First Impressions

Destiny Saga is an action-packed game that marries elements of roguelike and RPG genres. Step into the shoes of Rosen, the game's protagonist, and traverse the perilous Montereys continent in search of the root of the Xorc crisis. The game's rich roguelike elements make each dungeon exploration a unique experience filled with equipment, materials, and gold coins. The finely tuned action system and unique combo system offer an invigorating gaming experience, and the comprehensive task growth curve provides endless possibilities to shape your hero.

Destiny Saga is a rouge like RPG that eliminates many p2w features we have seen in other similar games. The game is mostly solo story driven with no heavy PVP combat. The tavern is your main spot where you will be interacting with NPCs that give you quests to complete. You will then travel to different worlds/levels that have dungeon like layouts. The mini map shows off how the area works with each square representing a room. Most of the paths are pretty linear but occasionally there will be a different way to go that can lead you to hidden treasure. 

There's a lot to like about Destiny Saga, like its snappy action RPG gameplay and  its colorful pixel artstyle, but there are a few elements holding it back from greatness. A lot of its dialogue seems autotranslated, which makes the story a little hard to follow. Thankfully, it's easy to click past the story segments and focus on the combat. Most of Destiny Saga revolves around exploring dungeons, picking up loot, and taking on waves of robots and monsters. The fast-paced, fluid combat is absolutely the best part of the game. It's easy to pick up the touch-screen controls, and even though characters only have a handful of moves at their disposal, you can approach battles in all kinds of ways.
