Hello everyone, we are Aluba Studio, and we are excited to share our game: Cyber Manhunt.
Cyber Manhunt is a story-driven hacker decryption game, where players take on the role of a "hacker" and use online searches and social engineering techniques to gather information about target individuals. Their hobbies, habits, relationships, and deepest secrets are all exposed. The game consists of five main chapters and two DLCs, with each story seemingly independent but interconnected as the plot unfolds, revealing hidden secrets that are genuinely shocking.

Creating a game that touches upon social issues As the internet becomes more intertwined with our lives, it's incredible how quickly information spreads far and wide. You've probably seen how negative events can go viral in a flash, capturing everyone's attention. It can be satisfying to witness wrongdoers being held accountable, but there's a darker side to this story. Some people become targets of relentless insults and harassment from those internet trolls we all love to hate. This online violence can escalate, leading to consequences that go way beyond the initial incident. It breaks our hearts to admit that, in some cases, the pressure becomes unbearable, and precious lives are tragically lost.
That's why we decided to create a game that touches upon doxing and privacy data breaches. We aimed to develop a game that would provoke players to think beyond the game itself, to think critically, and to learn to protect their own privacy.
We even had a social engineering community for this game In order to provide players with an authentic hacker experience, we established a social engineering community and sought advice from skilled practitioners in the field. We studied books like The Art of Deception by renowned hacker Kevin Mitnick, gaining insights into the workings of true hacking masters. These online and offline learning experiences opened a new world for our team, covering disciplines such as social engineering, psychology, microexpressions, and persuasive techniques. The wealth of knowledge bolstered our confidence in the game's theme and gameplay.
In addition to professionals and books, we also sought inspiration from various films. For instance, Who Am I: No System Is Safe demonstrated a more artistic and immersive portrayal of hacking techniques. Through Searching, we learned how to create twists in detail and direct players' attention to specific areas of interest. Indie games like This War of Mine, Papers, Please, and Orwell also inspired us a lot.
Hope you’ll like Cyber Manhunt!
