Strike Buster Prototype review: A delightful take on Bulletstorm.
181 View2023-06-17I just played Stroke Buster Prototype while participating in the Pocket Playfest event by TapTap and boy, was it pretty good. The game another rouguelike Bulletstorm game just like 20 Minutes Till Dawn, Survivor IO, or the classic Vampire Survivors. You fly around in space, you have three weapons, bullet, laser and Tesla, countless hoards of enemies are swarming upto you, and it is upto you and your three weapons to survive as long as you can.
Different from the classic hp system, this game has an energy system. You refill your energy when defeating enemies, and you lose energy when you get hit. When it reaches zero, you die. You can obviously regain lost energy by defeating more enemies (so kind of like permanent lifesteal, yay! ). However when you hit the limit of energy, you go into something like a super Saiyan mode with increased firing rate and stuff. So even if you can get back your life when you get hit, it is in your best interest to stay at full health (or energy) as long as you can.
Music, graphics, controls etc. are just like other Bulletstorm games, with enemies dropping upgrades and relics which makes you more powerful. There is a boss timer that counts down and when it hits zero, a boss appears. The game is pretty challenging and you will die very early the first few rounds. But it gets really really satisfying once you get the hang of it and gets some powerful upgrades up your sleeve.
Overall , it's pretty delightful game and you should definitely try it if you liked other games like vampire Survivors and 20 minutes till dawn.

I had the pleasure of trying out Strike Buster Prototype before it's official release on August 9th 2023, and this game is pretty fun. Strike Buster Prototype is a fast paced roguelite bullet hell game with an anime aesthetic. While the gameplay is fairly straight forwards, there are a few modes available in this game. The main one you will be trying is Endless mode. In Endless mode you just fight as long and hard as you can, building up your high score and accumulating gold for upgrades. Then there's Boss Rush, Boss Rush is basically where you just focus on defeating the bosses. in Hardcore you have to fight off the enemies while the battlefield starts shrinking,

Strike Buster Prototype - Gameplay Review
Strike Buster Prototype is a fast paced shooter action arcade mobile game that has a lot of challenging game modes. This game has got a lot of mission modes. In the Endless mission, you can keep defeating lots of enemies and boss in an endless streak to keep racking up gold and relics. Then there is custom mode where you can customize your gameplay as per your own style. Then there is Boss rush mode where you can keep fighting lots of powerful boss units. Its actually very fun because, you will be able to get powerful relics very fast in this gaming mode. Next is hardcore mode, where the gameplay is most challenging as the battlefield keeps shrinking very fast and your mobility keep getting more and more limited. And finally there is Asteroid mode where the meteor shower make the game more challenging and interesting. There are a total of 3 weapons in the game namely Bullet, Laser and Tesla. You can always pick permanent weapons for unlimited use but the temporary weapons last only for 1 battle. You can sell them to get extra gold. Overall, the game is very challenging and fantastic in a fast paced gameplay setup. If you know how to play the game efficiently, this game can be very fun and interesting. Boss battles can be very frustrating but trust me, when you defeat them, its very satisfying.

[Gameplay] -- Strike Buster Prototype
I got dizzy the first time playing this, it's tough and pretty fun! It’s a sort of twin-stick arena-based shooter, though I suppose some might compare it to things like Vampire Survivors in the current day and age. Several characters to choose from and lots of neat weapons and pick-ups to make use of.
Though the enemies get faster the longer you play it, the game gives a thrill and you'll need lots of strategy you can think of.
