Bright Reappear is a Match-3/RPG with a mechanic where you could choose to select more than one item to move on the puzzle grid. Aside from that, it plays practically like any Match-3/RPG that I could think of.
The characters and game design look alright. It's as you'd expect from fantasy pixel art. The text though... I feel like there's still a lot of room for improvement especially with the translations so that the sentences feel a bit more dynamic and less forced.
Also, a slight problem with character select. The text that describes the hero you're gonna select does not stay where you last scrolled it. Rather, it jumps back up to the top whenever you let go after scrolling through.
Before entering the map, you enter a screen that shows the stats of the character you've selected as well as a smithy where you could improve your equipment and a store where you could buy stuff. It's pretty standard for RPG games so it's presence here isn't really surprising.
Kudos to the map art and it's details, though.
Last thing I wanna talk about is the gameplay. Like I said, it's a pretty run-of-the-mill Match-3/RPG with the caveat that you could select multiple items up to your amount of AP and move them together to a single direction.
This mechanic gives a new level of challenge where you are constantly on the lookout for simultaneous matches that could have a massive impact on the board. Not gonna lie, it was extremely satisfying seeing the massive chain reactions that I could generate just by moving around two pieces.
Bright Reappear has the potential to be a great casual game for when you're on break. Although admittedly one stage could entirely take at least 15-20 mins depending on how well you could match items on the board. This game just really needs a bit more polish.
Got it, thank you for your suggestion! We will continue to do even better.
