McPixel 3 is an interesting game. I had never heard of it before, but I had heard of the publisher Devolver. One of the other games that Devolver published is one I love very much, and that is a game called Cult of the Lamb. So I went into this game with pretty high expectations. And I was not disappointed. McPixel 3's gameplay is utter insanity.
You basically click around the locations trying to unlock all the outcomes for each scenario. And majority of the time, the solutions are absolutely ridiculous and funny. Now I am sure this kind of humor will not be for everyone. But I definitely fit into the category of people who do find this humor funny. You can go and beat up people and jump on their bodies. Throw them out of planes, and even drink plenty of water during a fire to pee on the flames. It's all very insane. While it is very amusing and funny.
The jokes do run out pretty fast and you will stop laughing pretty quickly when it comes time to trying to fully clear the scenario and you have to redo it over and over again, trying to get 100%. This happened to me during the military plane crashing scenario. There was so many unlocks for this stage and even a secret one that had its own unlocks for it. While the new jokes I did unlock were funny, when it got to near completion, having to repeat certain ones to get to the future unlocks started to feel stale due to having to repeat the unlock chain to get there.
Even still, I think this game is so much fun. The controls aren't complicated and it's easy to figure out. Just takes a bit of patience to try and find all the scenario unlocks. Visually it's a pixel art game that looks fantastic. It's not super high definition pixel art, but it's decent. It fits the tone of the game perfectly if you ask me.
The visuals are bright and colorful and I enjoyed them a lot. The audio is perfect for the game too. It's clear and crisp audio is silly and matches the game perfectly. There's no audio glitches that I could hear, everything sounds very good. Overall I'd say that McPixel 3 is a hilariously fun game with ridiculous scenarios that will have you laughing at everything you do. I think the game is totally worth the $2.71 purchase on the play store. This game is also available on Steam if you prefer to play it on PC. I highly recommend this game, and think you should definitely give it a go.
