The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to the critically acclaimed game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It was released on May 12, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.Here are some of the new features in Tears of the Kingdom:
  • Exploration: The game world has been expanded to include the skies above Hyrule, as well as new islands and floating continents. Players can use Link's new abilities to explore these areas in new ways.
  • Combat: Link has four new abilities that can be used in combat: Emprise, Amalgame, Stasis, and Magnesis. Emprise allows Link to grab and throw objects, Amalgame allows him to combine objects to create new weapons and tools, Stasis allows him to freeze objects in place, and Magnesis allows him to control metal objects.
  • Story: The story of Tears of the Kingdom takes place a few years after the events of Breath of the Wild. Link and Zelda are searching for the source of a mysterious evil that is threatening Hyrule. Along the way, they will learn more about the history of Hyrule and the Demon King.
  • Amiibo support: Tears of the Kingdom supports amiibo figures, which can be used to unlock new items and challenges.

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Uniqlo Range Officially Announced
Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo has announced a new range of t-shirts based on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Launching in Japan on 26th April, 2024 at ¥1,500 (roughly $10 / £8) each, the range consists of six designs based on Nintendo's sublime sequel to Breath of the Wild, which launched on the Switch in May 2023. The t-shirts are really quite wonderful, both of which feature subtle, tasteful depictions of their respective characters on the shirts' breast pockets.
