This is an exciting mobile port of an established multiplayer combat game that manages to capture the excitement of the original surprisingly well. Hopping into a Sherman or T-34 for the first time on the small screen, I got straight into the action with a Bluetooth-connected gamepad. War Thunder Mobile offers three control patterns: dynamic stick, static stick, and directional "tank" controls. I experimented with all three, but settled in on dynamic as being slightly more intuitive, especially around tight corners.

Gaijin Entertainment has started the open beta testing of War Thunder Mobile, a new online military action game. Currently, it is only available for Android devices and can be downloaded in APK format from the official website. The game was initially announced as War Thunder Edge in November 2022 and has undergone several alpha testing stages. It has now been renamed War Thunder Mobile and there are no plans to reset the player progress made during the open beta.
