Remember when Apex Legends came to mobile around a year ago and then suddenly vanished? Well, it’s back! I mean, not technically, but this game’s pretty close to it. High Energy Heroes is the latest title from Tencent that brings familiar characters to mobile screens once more.
For those that don’t know, Tencent helped Electronic Arts bring the PC title known as Apex Legends to mobile phones a while back, but due to some communication issues and other business stuff, things didn’t work out which resulted in the shutdown of Apex Legends Mobile on May 1, 2023. High Energy Heroes is Tencent’s version of that game.
From what it looks like, High Energy Heroes features almost everything that Apex Legends Mobile did too. The map and interface are pretty much identical and the weapons haven’t changed at all. Even the game modes are similar too. The only actual difference are the character designs and visuals. High Energy Heroes has a less realistic look and the characters are all designed a little differently.
I’m personally excited about this game because it means I get to play Apex Legends Mobile again, or should I say a clone of it? Either way, I’m ecstatic about jumping into High Energy Heroes because it seems like a lot of fun. Not to mention that the visual style is pretty sick. I’m particularly eager to see how it’ll perform on mobile, considering the upgrade in graphics and overall visual style.
Will it be more or less fun than Apex Legends Mobile? Well, that’s for time to tell and for everyone to find out. High Energy Heroes is currently in testing for select players in China, but it’s expected to launch at the end of 2023.
