I'm not interested in Ubisoft's attempt to transfer Rainbow Six Siege to mobile because the game overall is a competitive game that requires excellent hand-eye coordination with hair-trigger responses, so the idea of it being played on a small (or large) handheld device in comparison to a gamepad or keyboard and mouse sounds like a disaster. It appears to be their attempt to squeeze what they can out of it.

Presentation

TapTap
Perhaps it's because I have a smaller device rather than a larger one, but the game feels terribly optimized for, well everything. The gain feels like it has been cranked up to 11 and their skin textures resemble that of a more putty kind with low detail. While the game itself often times has a lot of lag and spikes that rubber-band you often.

I can see why this would be a thing because the game is still in Early Access for the most part, but I just don't see why I would want to play it on a handheld when most computers these days can run it perfectly fine and I feel like these FPS games on mobile are way too assisted in their aiming and gameplay to feel like you really accomplished anything while the enemy and yourself just stood there accidently mashing every button on the screen until one of you finally hit the other.

Features

MTX
Seems like they are at it again as they are really trying to push MTX in your face as soon as the game starts. You need "tickets" to use any operator on Defense or Offense, if you don't have tickets you need to earn them by playing the game with recruits once you have them unlocked or by buying them from the shop. This feels extremely pay 2 win if they haven't made any adjustments compared to the original.
All one would need to do is buy packs to be able to play something like Thatcher or Twitch or Thermite, while you get stuck with Recruits that don't offer much.
TapTap
Tickets
This does provide some incentive to play the game and strive for specific achievements for those operators you admire. But it simply feels dumb to have a system where you can't just play the game and unlock the operators as you buy them rather than having a transitory system like tickets to rent an operator.
TapTap
You get enough when you first start the game, but I'm curious if when they run out they give you an incentive to buy from their shop or, at the very least, acquire their battle pass to gain access to more awards and, in turn, more operators.

Gameplay

TapTap
Not sure what I can say about the current condition of the HUD and very button. Because of the size of my thumbs and the size of my smartphone, I usually overshoot the buttons and hit something completely different making me look like an idiot in game, but with a bit of time and effort I did eventually get over it and start to utilize the correct way of playing. But it just feels so sloppy and not as fluid as PC.
At least, that's how I feel. You can basically switch your aiming to a more automated "focus" mode that will charge up and shoot everyone who comes within range. Since hip-fire (the button on the left) feels so out of place and ineffective I rarely every use it because then I have to stop moving, it feels like the most effective approach to truly play and win is to either rush and spray and pray or camp do the same on defense.

Conclusion

TapTap
I don't get it
I haven't played Rainbow Six since in a long time. The last time I played it with friends was probably in 2015 when it was released, when the game was more fun and relevant than it is now. It is more poisonous and competitive than it has ever been.
Each game moves at a breakneck pace. There doesn't appear to be much strategy because everyone always stands motionless without the option to move because the buttons are so difficult to hit while being so concentrated on the action in front of you. Before you can make your next move, you often have to step to the side, look down, and find the buttons you need, not having a mini-map is pretty annoying too!

While the game is still in it's early stages. It really doesn't feel like a good game nor are there many things to do with objectives. Ubisoft isn't known for its ability to produce enjoyable experiences.

My initial thoughts on this game come to a close with the caveat that, while others may disagree, that is what makes gamers unique. You don't have to share their interests or agree with them and are welcome to critic me on mine.
If you want to catch me on one of my streams or locate me on social media, you may do so at the following locations, I'm always playing something new.

Rainbow Six Mobile is good for a round or two
Rainbow Six Mobile (Reviewed) Developer: Ubisoft Publisher: Ubisoft Released: September 1st, 2023 Price: Free To Play Rainbow Six Mobile is the handheld version of the popular FPS Rainbow Six Siege as a on the go FPS you can play anywhere you have wifi access to. I truly believe that games like this should at the very least fix their issues with the main game before attempting to port it to other devices, especially when those ports frequently lower the overall quality from a decent game to an MTX game with sketchy marketing.

The Best Rainbow Six Come to Mobile
Woah, this game's graphics are insane! Seriously, playing Rainbow Six Mobile on my phone feels like playing it on a PC. Same maps, same lighting, same detailed environments - I can't tell the difference unless I crank my PC to ULTRA settings (which my phone somehow pulls off, with my Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, 16GB RAM, woah!). The sound effects are just as awesome as the PC version. Explosions, footsteps, drone buzzes - everything sounds SO good. Sure, there might be a tiny glitch here and there, but the devs are fixing them faster than Sledge busts through walls. Seriously, if you hear anything weird, report it on the Rainbow Six Siege Discord - they're all ears!

This is prove that PC ports can be SO GOOD!
Before my review, here's how you deal with Rainbow 6 Mobile issues Rainbow 6 Mobile is THE tactical shooter game you've been waiting for! With absense of Hyperfront/Valorant mobile, Rainbow 6 fills the gap just perfectly. This is the game where you find PC games can be mobile games as well. I always starts by talking about the graphics and performance. Because this game is detailed, has a high texture resolution, and just overall looks good, I expected a high-end only experience. NOPE! This game is SMOOTH to be played at anything around 200+K AnTuTu scores. You can change the settings from very PUBG level flat up to CSGO level detail, on mobile!
