Monster Hunter Now Announced
Niantic, the augmented-reality and location-based game developer, has partnered with Capcom, the gaming giant, to create a new mobile game based on the long-running Monster Hunter Franchise. The new title, Monster Hunter Now, features third-person gameplay, and players are required to travel to real-world locations to hunt down monsters.
Unlike Niantic’s previous AR games, the camera perspective is in third person, similar to the core series entries. Capcom commented that the game aims to blend the appeal of the Monster Hunter series with Niantic's development technology, and features that allow players to team up with others for hunts or hunt monsters encountered while the app was closed later in their spare time.
