Aether Gazer is an extremely fun and casual action gaccha game. The character designs are pretty "spicy" and the combat gameplay of most Modifiers are extremely intuitive and fun!
BASTET
Bastet is a Nile Gen-zone, A-rank Modifier that specialises in a bit of both shadow element DPS and de-buff support.
To boil it down, all of her skills have an enhanced version that is only available when she enters the Divine Gaze state. You can enter that state by doing her full basic attack combo, perfect dodge or using base S3. Her enhanced S1 reduces shadow resistance of enemies hit which makes it the preferred enhanced skill to use followed by enhanced S3 for the most damage. S2 is good for mobility and the very generous i-frames it gives to avoid enemy attacks.
Her gameplay really flows well from going in and out of the Divine Gaze state for enhanced skills and the ultimate skill chain is just so...."hot".
SHU (S-RANK)
S-rank Shu is a Nile Gen-zone, thunder DPS Modifier. Amongst the various DPS-type her playstyle revolves around getting hit (kinky) if you can make it work without skill issue.
S-Shu has two stances she can switch between, attack and defense stance. Her S1 is used to switch between the stances and she can do so when in the animation of S2 and/or S3.
In attack stance, hitting an enemy with S2 and S3 gives a follow up attack for each skill. While in defense stance, getting hit by an enemy while you're in the skill animation of S2 and/or S3 will immediately nullify the damage you took and do a counter-attack. When fighting hordes of enemies, it's most preferable to stay in attack stance but when it comes to a boss fight, S-Shu really shines and is extremely fun when you're able to switch between the two stances more easily.
Each time you do a follow up or counter-attack, you generate a mark. After getting 6 marks, the S1 is enhanced and does big damage while consuming all the marks.
Love her playstyle and design. The only gripe I have is that 6 marks is too much for the enhanced S1 and her damage is quite lacking for all she needs to do for it.
HADES
Hades is a Olympus Gen-zone S-rank Modifiers that specialises in dealing MASSIVE DPS (shadow element). By utilising her unique puppeteer fighting style, she absolutely dominates everything!
Hades might seem complex at first but all you need to really learn is how and when to switch between her two puppets Leuce & Mintha and maintain her Divine Grace (combat resource).
Basic attacks, S2&S3 with Leuce will reduce Divine Grace while basic attacks, S2&S3 with Mintha will increase Divine Grace. Hades ideally wants to keep her Divine Grace between 40 and 70 to get Chthonic marks which increases her crit rate and damage. When she has 4 of those marks, you can hold her basic attack button to make her puppets go beserk and do tons of AOE damage for a set period of time.
Hades is a comfort pick not only because she's easy on the eyes but is able to easily clear the hardest content in the game if you build her properly. Plus her Ultimate skill chain gives you a POV of getting stepped on by her!
OCEANUS
Oceanus is a Olympus Gen-zone S-rank Modifier that specialises in water element DPS with one of the flashiest kit in Aether Gazer revolving around water clones.
Oceanus kit is all about creating water clones and dodging to create even more water clones!
Each time you cast his S1, it creates a water clone (maximum of two from S1). To get a third water clone, you need to perfect dodge and do a special follow up basic attack to summon it. With all 3 clones, you ideally wanna use S2 to gather them and use S3 to consume the clones to increase attack and S3 damage. After that you get to creating more clones and rinse & repeat.
Extremely fun, flashy and cool modifier for any combat scenario.
Just don't let him cook tho....
I might keep updating this list as I try out other and upcoming new Modifiers. All of these Modifiers I listed are the ones available currently on patch 1.5 of Aether Gazer global servers.
