Exploring the ocean, visiting islands and wrecks, and salvaging for scraps | Gameplay - Driftopia

Driftopia involve players being part of an expedition to explore alien worlds and habitable planets. As a passenger on the “Great Yu Starship”, complications during atmospheric entry lead to a crash landing on an alien ocean planet.
Driftopia introduces a gameplay dynamic that merges the sea exploration of Raft with the depths of survival crafting seen in Subnautica. The core experience centers on exploring the ocean, visiting islands and wrecks, and salvaging for scraps both on land and floating on the ocean.
There is a fun fishing mechanic that allows you to fish for scraps with a rope and drag them to you, no need to swim. The game is co-op/online, although 100% of my experience has been solo and I haven’t encountered any players actually in this test.
Due to technical issues such as clunky systems, lack of tutorial, and horrible performance on my phone, I could not play as much as I wanted. Overall, the setup is interesting, but in this beta testing phase, all the systems are very rudimentary—more like a proof of concept for now.

Drawing inspiration the best ocean survival crafting games | CBT Review - Driftopia
✨Overview Recently, I had the opportunity to play a bit of the Driftopia Beta Test, a survival crafting game set on an alien ocean planet, waiting to be explored and discovered. Driftopia, though still in beta on Android, attempts to merge the best elements of oceanic survival games. 📖Story and Premise Driftopia involve players being part of an expedition to explore alien worlds and habitable planets. As a passenger on the “Great Yu Starship”, complications during atmospheric entry lead to a crash landing on an alien ocean planet. The group becomes scattered, and supplies are spread across the vast ocean-laden world. Players must navigate the challenges of this new environment, repairing their starting Raft's main engine, and embark on a journey of survival, exploration, and discovery.

If you like Subnautica and Raft Survival, you need to check out this upcoming crafting game
SHOULD I PLAY DRIFTOPIA? If you’re a fan of crafting and like survival games, this is definitely a title to watch! Driftopia is a crafting and survival game set on a world that’s almost completely covered in water. To gather resources, I had to swim through dangerous waters, search for goods underwater, and drift from one island to the next on my trusty raft. The current version of the game is pretty rough, but the concept shows a lot of promise, and since the game is still in beta, I’m not overly concerned about the bugs. These issues definitely need to be addressed before the full release, but Driftopia is still shaping up to be a very addictive game.

THIS NEW SURVIVAL GAME IS RAFT + SUBNAUTICA!
Game: DRIFTOPIA (SEADOG BETA) Platform: IOS / ANDROID Genre: Survival / Crafting / Exploration Overview Driftopia is essentially a combination of Raft and Subnautica, but it is a much more compact and lackluster package. It does not have a great deal of content that can be exhibited in its current version. This is but a mere test of the server's connectivity. Graphics & Presentation The images constantly changing from high quality to low quality as the world around you just spawned in as you moved throughout the islands and the water were terrible. I can't say that this was appealing due to the fact that all of the UI is so tiny and pixelated, making it impossible to read half of the important stuff.
