THE PIXEL ARK UPDATE: EVERYTHING IS GONE! WHAT'S HAPPENING!?
2K View2024-02-08Since my initial review, The Pixel Ark (formerly known as The Wandering Ark) has been a fun and addictive little game for me to play on occasion until the big problem.
I can only assume that this was all due to a legal dispute or something, which is why they had to remove the application from the Google Play Store and rename it The Pixel Ark, causing a bunch of players to lose their data, which cannot be recovered because there is no way to contact the developers or get any form of support, but also the constant inability to load the game up at all, because it's just nonfunctional.
This saddens my heart because, despite the fact that I did not spent any money because the game would not allow you to do so owing to an app bug, I did invest a lot of time grinding through the stages and leaderboards only to lose it all.
Update:
A few days after restarting on a new account, I was confronted with even more troubles than previously. Logging into the application is now not physically possible. You are presented with a black screen as it prohibits you from loading the software entirely. I feel terrible, and I feel equally terrible for those who have lost money supporting this game and this developer through the last couple weeks.

While I believe the game is actually extremely fun and has a lot of potential to be a great experience for a lot of people, and that I honestly want to give it a 9/10 as I previously did, my experience with it has been completely ruined by so many issues.

Overview
I must admit that I was extremely addicted to the game when I first picked up the previous version, which was The Wandering Ark as I felt like it was a highly satisfyingly healthy Gacha game in which you do not have to spend a dollar on anything, unless you actually wanted to support the devs in providing you with countless hours of exciting PvE and PvP action.

I was enjoying the game right up until I hit a major bug with top up as Google pay refused to work being inaccessible. The only other way was some dodgy third party site to top up...yeah no thanks. When I asked support for help to get the problem fixed, His only solution was referring me to play the exact same game under the name "Realm Of Heroes" and to change my country in Google Store to download it...so basically avoiding the issue with the core game asking me to download another game...that was their miraculous fix -_- what a joke.

the game went dark for almost half a day. I just asked for refund. dang, I was trying to support the dev cuz I do like the gameplay but they arent trust worthy. move on.
