Tencent is working on a survival game similar to Palworld called Auroria.Previously Auroria would be a mobile answer to the PC game No Man's Sky, but due the Palworld success, the dev team decided to change the direction of the game and add elements of collecting, training and capturing creatures to the game.
Auroria will also have strong UGC integration, providing a wide range of tools for players to create worlds within the platform.
Auroria: the playful journey already has a version being tested in the West, and should be launched later this year.

About the game
Auroria offers a sci-fi pet-taming adventure where players journey through space, befriend and train alien creatures, and customize their universe. Some speculate it might be a rebranded version of Project Stars/Outerland, but this remains unconfirmed.

Recently, “Palworld” has attracted widespread attention .The boss of Pocketpair recently mentioned on Twitter that companies like Tencent are working on competing mobile games similar to Palworld.
Takuro Mizobe, CEO of PocketPair, published a screenshot of a mobile and PC game called Auroria, alongside the following statement:
“Tencent is already making a Palworld clone game! In China, many companies are simultaneously developing mobile clones of Palworld, and the budgets are in the 10 billion yen-range, 10 times larger than Palworld’s... Next year, we might see many Genshin Impact-level creature (or bishojo) raising games... These are incredible times.”
