As I prepared to load up the recently released CLICKOLDING, I had a fundamental understanding of what it was all about and what I was getting myself into. This is a play on the concept of being or taking part in the act that is commonly referred to as "cuckolding," but the twist is that it is portrayed in this game as the act of clicking.
familiar with idle games in which you click to make more progress? Aware of how mindless these games are, but also how blissfully pleasant and addictive they can become, to the point where they can absorb you and your life for some time?
When I say that CLICKOLDING is a short game, I mean that it is a short game. unless you find yourself spending additional time after you have 100% it, for whatever reason that may be, the full game itself only takes 20-40 minutes to complete.

Story

TapTap
A Mad Man
You're placed in a hotel room with a total stranger who is willing pay you a substantial sum of money for an operation that you require in order to survive, you are demanded to click for his pleasure. As you successfully fulfill each and every one of his demands, the atmosphere begins to get a little bit more eerie. He begins to talk about how he isn't himself, how others deserve to be put down, which may be a reference to the idea that he is another player who is lost in this vast void of repetition.
Although it does not provide a great deal of information when it comes to attempting to piece together the story, the game does, in a sense, actively know that you are not a Player Character but rather an actual person behind it, meeting the demands of the entity, and it gives you the impression that it is communicating to you directly.

Presentation & Gameplay

TapTap
Creepy
It's like a very uncomfortable sense that washes over you as you are asked to satisfy the demands of this mad man who takes great pleasure in watching you click. This is not precisely a horror game, nor would I label it as something that can generate a lot of fear within you. However, it is something that may induce a lot of existentialism.
The idea of why we are here in this game right now, clicking a button over and over again, despite the fact that we are fully aware that there is nothing else here to the gameplay, and yet here we are going along this repeating motion till it has bored us.

Gameplay
It has a similar feeling to the main concept that it is going for, in that the man will not always be satisfied with your actions and will frequently become bored asking you to try something new, taking breaks, but ultimately wanting to see that number roll over.
Instead of clicking on the bed, he might want you to fulfill tasks such as turning the thermostat, unlocking doors, staring and looking away from him all the while clicking, which will give you a very uncomfortable feeling whenever you turn your back to him, because you're alone and he does have a gun with him while waving it around.
The fact is that you are here being assigned goals that you must complete at certain moments in time depending on the number of times you have clicked and that makes it impossible for me to claim that this experience does not constitute gaming. This really isn't any different from others, the one difference is, that this isn't a colorful and engaging fighting or adventure game. Other than that, it's the same as anything else.

Conclusion

TapTap
It felt like it was missing something
Perhaps it wasn't? I had the impression that this game was attempting to convey a message, such as activities that we engage in throughout our lives are completely pointless, but we continue to engage in them because they provide us with some form of entertainment, joy, or any other emotions that motivates us to seek out the same activities that we do on a daily basis no matter the reason or reward.
It's possible that you're playing through an Clicker Game or another genre with a lot of dedication. This might also be activities that take place in real life. It doesn't make sense for people to condemn other people just because they are having fun doing something that they do not consider to be entertaining for themselves. It is not more content with the weird guy or adding in other characters that I feel is lacking from this game. I feel like it is a goal that is based on the player's own curiosity.
When it comes to this game, I feel that there is one thing that is lacking, and that is a purpose. Due to the fact that there are only two achievements for this game, it is quite difficult to feel as though you are getting anything out of it besides a feeling.
This might not be true if you are the type of person who has a lot of absentminded curiosity, which causes you to find yourself just drifting off in your mind for minutes and hours at a time doing tasks that may or may not reward you, you just have to continue to see those numbers rise until you get your much needed satisfaction.
A game you will remember, that is essentially what it was aiming for. It will leave a bit of itself with you when you log out and reflect for a while. I believe the end game number simply resets, and you eventually put together the finale act of the story.
That's deep.
