Reverse: 1999 is an adventurous turn-based strategy RPG game that is capable of taking the players through different eras. Bluepoch company developed the game that is beyond the competition as it offers not only the time travel concept but also the deep story with the fantastic graphics that differentiate it from other mobile games.

This is one of the most beautiful features of the game, the different plots that they tell. You are the “Timekeeper” who moves through different important periods in history to solve the secrets of what is called the “Storm.” The story is great, non linear, filled with plot twists, and has a great depiction of character development. All of them are called “Arcanist” and differ in both personality and skills bringing depth to both the gameplay and the plot.
Combat in Reverse: 1999 is strictly turn-based largely associated with improved thinking strategies and enlightened planning. This concept of having to time-travel is what makes the game dynamic because it can turn battles into contests of sequencing. Every Arcanist has personal skills connected with their story which makes every fight look like it’s been taken from the story. The art style is thick and impressive, as 2D comic elements are well combined with the most ridiculous and dream-like aesthetics which definitely complements the game.

Nonetheless, there seems to be a few disadvantages of the game, despite the fact that it can be quite difficult to master. It also construes time manipulation mechanics and the intricate plot as its weakness as it can be confusing for some players at first. As for drawback, the gacha system – while being the only way to unlock new Arcanists – can be annoying when player fails to get the wished one. You may also hear some of your friends complaining that it is a slow story although this may be more evident in parts of the beginning.
✅Pros and ❌cons:
✅ Pros:
✅The RPG game presents a singular time-travel mechanism which revitalizes the standard gameplay by letting players investigate historic periods.
✅The game presents a profound narrative storyline that includes multiple unexpected plot turns together with distinct character evolution as well as a compelling secret about the "Storm."
✅The gameplay system enables turn-based battles that demand careful strategic planning to overcome enemies in a deep manner.
✅The game distinguishes itself through its artistic design method which combines 2D comic drawings with dreamlike visual elements.
✅A Variety of Outstanding Characters with One-of-a-Kind Ability Sets Deepens Both Plot Elements as Well as Interactive Engagement.
❌ Cons:
❌The initial portion of the time manipulation system and complex plot structure might cause complete confusion for new players.
❌The manner through which players obtain new Arcanists through the Gacha System depends on chance leading to frustration among some players.
❌The story moves at a sluggish pace throughout the overall narrative.

Overall, Reverse: 1999 is the compelling play through fans of narrative games and tactical battles. It’s got its own spin on the time travel, good narrative, and exceptional arts which make it stand alone in the mobile RPG genre. Nonetheless, there are several shortcomings in the game, still it will remain a worthwhile experience for those, who are willing to spend the time in a virtual
world.
