PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you’re looking for a more lighthearted, casual-friendly way to pass some time killing the undead, but be prepared to encounter some jank. Undawn is the latest MMO from Level Infinite, the same publisher that brought us Tower of Fantasy, and it shares some similarities with that game...and some big differences. Most notably, Undawn trades in the more traditional mix of fantasy, sci-fi, and anime aesthetics for a modern world that has been wrecked by a zombie apocalypse. This game’s vision of the end of the world is anything but generic, though. Even though some elements are frustrating or underdeveloped, I can’t help but feel charmed by this weird little game.

SHOULD I PLAY WELCOME TO PARADIZE? Try it if you’re clamoring for a new zombie-themed survival crafting game, but consider playing something like Project Zomboid or Dysmantle instead. Welcome to ParadiZe is the latest game from Eko Software, the developers behind the How to Survive series. It’s got some fun ideas and a playful sense of humor, but this is a crowded genre, and there are better, more interesting titles out there.

Our mission will be to recover the fuel capsules before the pirates get there and save humanity! Our goal is to survive against ruthless opponents, recover precious resources and improve our character using advanced cybernetic upgrades or recovered from others. I'm looking at you, Undawn :) Horrible gunplay, cutscenes, zombies, pay2win elements from day one release, restricting equipment mechanics, etc... Pros: Beautiful map, interesting story, okayish graphics, map mechanics inspired/stolen from Far Cry 3.

SHOULD I PLAY LOST FUTURE? Lost Future has a lot going for it, especially if you’re the type that likes post-apocalyptic adventures. I had a blast exploring the open world, building my base, and taking down the undead. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past the glitches in the game, and I mean that literally. No matter how many times I reloaded the game, I couldn’t progress past a particular zombie-killing mission—which sucked because I would’ve loved to spend more time in this world.
