If you love scavenge-grinding, THIS is the game for you.
This game is really fun at the beginning. Then the cycle gets repetitive. Too repetitive for my taste but your mileage may vary. I know people who've been playing this game for over two years, so there you go!
The game is basically:
Scavenging->Sorting->Storing->Processing->Base-building (repeat)
There is a bit of action but it's very streamlined and not the main point of the game. It's basically a post apocalyptic survival/scavenging simulator where you find leftovers and make stuff out of them for you to use. Microtransactions will save you some grind and progression will feel less tedious, but the game IS all about grinding, so, can you see the irony here? At times it feels too mindless and the lack of depth starts to get to you. Plus the food/water need is an unnecessary mechanic that feels out of place and mostly distracts/annoys you rather than feeling immersive.
Story is non-existent. The objective is finding better garbage from more and more heavily guarded dumpsters. This may sound harsh but without proper combat and story, that's exactly what it feels like.
Overall, 5/10 from me. Interesting concept, could have been better. (Project Zomboid for example? Now THAT'S a game!)

"still in beta" is a modern excuse for poor game designs.
