Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise Of The Dragons delivers all the excitement of a retro arcade game, but it also finds ways to mix up that classic formula. You can tackle levels in any order, earn power-ups for your fighters, and even collect tokens you can use to continue your game after an untimely defeat. There was always something for me to unlock, like new characters or music tracks, and no two runs felt exactly alike, which made the game tough to put down. SHOULD I PLAY WAYFINDER? Avoid it for the time being. Wayfinder’s early access release has been a complete disaster, and beyond the botched launch are deeper issues that need to be addressed. On the night of Wayfinder’s release, the game was completely unplayable for me. Not only could I not log in, but absolutely nothing happened when I clicked the login button. All I could do was stare at the menu and hope the game would be playable eventually.

SHOULD I PLAY FOAMSTARS? The Foamstars open beta was a blast. I’m sure some things will change between now and the game’s official release, but based on what I’ve seen, I’d definitely recommend checking it out. Foamstars is clearly inspired by Splatoon, but this 4v4 shooter doesn’t feel like a clone at all. It’s got an intoxicating atmosphere, an instantly charming cast of characters, and some unique gameplay mechanics that make it stand out from other shooters on the market. It seems like it’ll be a great way to blow off some steam or put yourself in a party mood.
