It's one of the biggest titles of the year so far and continues to inspire fanmade creations; the creator, has worked hard to bring this retro version to life, even staying up all night to fix bugs for the initial release. Experience that is headed in a completely different direction, creating a demo of the first chapter in 2D pixels, while the original is characterized by stunning graphics and engaging combat, instead, this pixel adaptation plays on the nostalgia of old-school arcade cabinets, similar to classics like Double Dragon. Again, this version may not have the stunning graphics of the original, but it offers something special: a simple and nostalgic revisitation of Wukong's epic adventure. And for those who are nostalgic for the days of pixelated side-scrollers, it's a small throwback to an era that many of us sixty-somethings still hold dear.

I haven't had this much fun with an Online Multiplayer Roguelike; these days, games like this are generally only available in Local Co-op, making it difficult to make new friends or play with anybody other than close pals in real life or through your friends list. The Legend of Tianding: This is a 2D side-scroller beat 'em up game with some RPG elements where you play as the historical figure Liao Tianding. This game unexpectedly turned out to be an indie masterpiece for me. With its engaging storytelling, charming protagonist, excellent portrayal of 1900's Taiwan, beautiful art style, unique and satisfying gameplay mechanics, interesting boss fights, great soundtracks, and multiple endings, the game excelled in many aspects. However, it had some unfair platforming sections and repetitive combat towards the end. Overall, the game's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, making it a remarkable experience that left me craving for more historically-inspired games of similar caliber.

Sometimes, drawing a heart will restore health. Momo's character is based on a real-life cat owned by video game art designer Juliana Chen. It's a fast-paced action-platformer developed by Ahr Ech and published by Devolver Digital. It's a high-speed 2D action-platformer where the centerpiece of the experience is... a "Grinder" drill—and it's not just a weapon, but a true multi-purpose tool! The protagonist is Pepper, a young and determined treasure hunter who is shipwrecked on a mysterious island after losing all her loot. On the island, a band of bizarre enemies called Narlings steals what remains, including her precious mechanical drill called the "Grinder." Determined to get back what's hers, Pepper manages to recover the Grinder and begins her adventure through increasingly varied and dangerous environments. From sandy beaches to underground caves, industrial structures, and surreal landscapes, Pepper faces hordes of enemies and gigantic bosses, each with unique mechanics. The narrative is simple but effective: there are no long dialogues, but rather a story told through fluid animations and dynamic cutscenes.  Pepper's journey is a constant race for revenge, in a colorful yet hostile world, where each level represents a new step towards the final showdown. The gameplay is based on rhythm and precision: the more you master the drill, the more spectacular the experience becomes. The enemies are varied and well-characterized. Some require timing, others strategy. The boss fights are one of the game's highlights: dynamic, intense, and often divided into multiple phases, the levels are full of secrets, alternative routes, and collectibles. In short, it encourages replayability thanks to timed challenges, hidden object collection, and routes optimized for speedrunning. Its detailed pixel art style and fluid animations make the title visually captivating. The music is energetic and perfectly complements the frenetic action.  It's not a casual game: it requires precision, reflexes, and a little practice, but it's incredibly rewarding.

'Until Then' is truly a one-of-a-kind game. The intro, art style, narration, story, characters, music, dialogues, mini-games, and everything else were really impressive. After finishing the game, I felt like rain had washed over me. At first, I was caught off guard (especially because of the final scene) and soon felt the coldness of the rain. But then I was happy and content with how everything seemed to make sense. When it was finally over, it left me feeling a bit empty as well.

If you love it, support it. I didn't like it very much cause I was expecting something that wasn't just a slightly remastered version of the original. I'll still support the dev, I still like what the original had to offer and the rest of the content that was added in is sure to appeal to the die hard fans, but this wasn't for me and I don't think it would be for most people, who want more than the free version offers.

You don't want it to ever end or to cause harm in this simplistic world that feels more like a resting spot when you're done with all of your other games, after a hard days work, it'll be here for you waiting with a lot of dark secrets to be discovered around every nook and cranny.
