The Legend of Tianding: This is a 2D side-scroller beat 'em up game with some RPG elements where you play as the historical figure Liao Tianding. This game unexpectedly turned out to be an indie masterpiece for me. With its engaging storytelling, charming protagonist, excellent portrayal of 1900's Taiwan, beautiful art style, unique and satisfying gameplay mechanics, interesting boss fights, great soundtracks, and multiple endings, the game excelled in many aspects. However, it had some unfair platforming sections and repetitive combat towards the end. Overall, the game's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, making it a remarkable experience that left me craving for more historically-inspired games of similar caliber.

The boss fights are one of the game's highlights: dynamic, intense, and often divided into multiple phases, the levels are full of secrets, alternative routes, and collectibles. In short, it encourages replayability thanks to timed challenges, hidden object collection, and routes optimized for speedrunning. Its detailed pixel art style and fluid animations make the title visually captivating. The music is energetic and perfectly complements the frenetic action.  It's not a casual game: it requires precision, reflexes, and a little practice, but it's incredibly rewarding.

This intriguing video game developed by BEAON Dev combines atmosphere, narrative, and engaging mechanics into an immersive experience. It has many similarities to Limbo, except that here, color dominates, with a naive palette. 2) 📝 STORYLINE: It transports us to a world suspended between reality and memory, where the protagonist finds himself trapped in a mysterious time loop. Each awakening brings with it fragments of memories, places already visited, and choices that seem to have different consequences. The plot unfolds slowly, leaving the player to piece together the past through environmental details, cryptic dialogue, and profound symbolism. The sense of solitude and discovery is constant, as you try to understand the true meaning of "waiting again" for something that may have already happened.

Maybe it could just be a bit of a burnout streak. In that case it would only be my fault. But I would also blame the developers for not really thinking about the long term players, who have been playing since very early access when adding in new currencies. Creatures of Ava is a family-friendly experience and therefore, comfortable. Who hasn’t spent hours searching for adorable creatures in vibrant, joyful worlds, with the aim of collecting them? In Creatures of Ava, the premise is similar, although the main objective is a bit different. This is an experience that overflows with affection, carrying a touching story that shows players the importance of bonds between individuals, understanding different ideologies, and finally, the cycle of life and its self-regeneration.
