The Legend of Tianding: This is a 2D side-scroller beat 'em up game with some RPG elements where you play as the historical figure Liao Tianding. This game unexpectedly turned out to be an indie masterpiece for me. With its engaging storytelling, charming protagonist, excellent portrayal of 1900's Taiwan, beautiful art style, unique and satisfying gameplay mechanics, interesting boss fights, great soundtracks, and multiple endings, the game excelled in many aspects. However, it had some unfair platforming sections and repetitive combat towards the end. Overall, the game's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, making it a remarkable experience that left me craving for more historically-inspired games of similar caliber.

The protagonist of the game this time is the little Hikaru who, after having inadvertently "shot" the super-intelligence helmets out of the laboratory, finds himself having to deal with an army of primates ready to conquer the world. At the head of the revolt we find the white monkey Specter, this time intent on stealing the Lethargy Laser from the Professor, essential for easily putting humans to sleep and thus having control over the entire world.

'Until Then' is truly a one-of-a-kind game. The intro, art style, narration, story, characters, music, dialogues, mini-games, and everything else were really impressive. After finishing the game, I felt like rain had washed over me. At first, I was caught off guard (especially because of the final scene) and soon felt the coldness of the rain. But then I was happy and content with how everything seemed to make sense. When it was finally over, it left me feeling a bit empty as well.

I haven't had this much fun with an Online Multiplayer Roguelike; these days, games like this are generally only available in Local Co-op, making it difficult to make new friends or play with anybody other than close pals in real life or through your friends list. It's a high-speed 2D action-platformer where the centerpiece of the experience is... a "Grinder" drill—and it's not just a weapon, but a true multi-purpose tool! The protagonist is Pepper, a young and determined treasure hunter who is shipwrecked on a mysterious island after losing all her loot. On the island, a band of bizarre enemies called Narlings steals what remains, including her precious mechanical drill called the "Grinder." Determined to get back what's hers, Pepper manages to recover the Grinder and begins her adventure through increasingly varied and dangerous environments. From sandy beaches to underground caves, industrial structures, and surreal landscapes, Pepper faces hordes of enemies and gigantic bosses, each with unique mechanics.
