It's a fast-paced action-platformer developed by Ahr Ech and published by Devolver Digital. It's a high-speed 2D action-platformer where the centerpiece of the experience is... a "Grinder" drill—and it's not just a weapon, but a true multi-purpose tool! The protagonist is Pepper, a young and determined treasure hunter who is shipwrecked on a mysterious island after losing all her loot. On the island, a band of bizarre enemies called Narlings steals what remains, including her precious mechanical drill called the "Grinder." Determined to get back what's hers, Pepper manages to recover the Grinder and begins her adventure through increasingly varied and dangerous environments. From sandy beaches to underground caves, industrial structures, and surreal landscapes, Pepper faces hordes of enemies and gigantic bosses, each with unique mechanics. The narrative is simple but effective: there are no long dialogues, but rather a story told through fluid animations and dynamic cutscenes.  Pepper's journey is a constant race for revenge, in a colorful yet hostile world, where each level represents a new step towards the final showdown. The drill allows Pepper to dig into the ground and "swim" underground, launch himself into the air at high speed, attach himself to mechanisms and activate platforms, and create incredibly fluid movement combos. The control system is surprisingly responsive, especially on high-performance devices. The gameplay is based on rhythm and precision: the more you master the drill, the more spectacular the experience becomes. The enemies are varied and well-characterized. Some require timing, others strategy. The boss fights are one of the game's highlights: dynamic, intense, and often divided into multiple phases, the levels are full of secrets, alternative routes, and collectibles. In short, it encourages replayability thanks to timed challenges, hidden object collection, and routes optimized for speedrunning. Its detailed pixel art style and fluid animations make the title visually captivating. The music is energetic and perfectly complements the frenetic action.  It's not a casual game: it requires precision, reflexes, and a little practice, but it's incredibly rewarding.

Today we can finally say mission accomplished, we get to share a first look at it with you. The demo for The Melty Way is now live and if you enjoy tight platformers with personality, we think you’ll have a blast playing The Melty Way. Our game looks cute, but don't be fooled, it definitely knows how to challenge both your reflexes and your big beautiful brain. The whole game revolves around size management. Your slime melts and shrinks whenever you move, jump or dash, but be careful because your size literally represents your health. Melt too much and you go SPLOOOOSHH bye bye. To grow bigger, you need food scattered around the levels, but it is limited, so you're going to have to do a diet because you can’t just snack on everything. The more you eat, the bigger you get. Big slime has more health and can activate heavy switches, but moves like someone after a leg day. Medium keeps things perfectly balanced as all things should be. Small is fast, snappy and perfect for precise platforming, but one mistake and you'll become a decorative puddle. Each size changes how you deal with puzzles, traps and movement, so deciding when to melt or when to eat becomes a crucial part of the strategy. We have a lot of handcrafted levels scattered across different environments. Each area brings its own special mechanics, surprises and new dangerous traps. Some levels lean into puzzles. Some push your speed and timing. Some mix everything together just to keep things interesting. And a few levels are us thinking outside the box to give you more unpredictable and diversified experiences. There’s also a small story woven through the game. It’s nothing overly complex, but you’ll meet a few warm characters during this somewhat lonely journey, each adding a bit of charm, guidance or humor along the way. A few parts of the world and its mysteries are left open to interpretation too, so you can read into things however you want as you explore. The game also features our own original music. Some tracks are chill, some are more energetic, depending on the environment and what the level is asking from you. We tried to shape every piece so it reflects the emotion and vibe we feel in those moments. Enjoy the soundtrack and let it carry you through the world as you play. The demo gives you a small taste of all that. It’s not too hardcore, just enough to give you a good feel of what the game is going to offer later. Try it out, play around with the movement and see how well you manage your size with the limited resources each level gives you. The full game release is planned for March 2026. Most of the content is already finished and we’re polishing everything until then to make the whole experience as smooth, fun and satisfying as possible. You start to think about games like Undertale, DeltaRune, EverHood, A Short Hike, StarDew Valley and so many more that are all created by a solo or duo developer, yet they provide you with hours of pure unfiltered amusement and delight, as well as sometimes a very long emotional rollercoaster of sensations that will stop you dead in your tracks. Afterplace is right in the center such masterfully crafted works.

I haven't had this much fun with an Online Multiplayer Roguelike; these days, games like this are generally only available in Local Co-op, making it difficult to make new friends or play with anybody other than close pals in real life or through your friends list. The Legend of Tianding: This is a 2D side-scroller beat 'em up game with some RPG elements where you play as the historical figure Liao Tianding. This game unexpectedly turned out to be an indie masterpiece for me. With its engaging storytelling, charming protagonist, excellent portrayal of 1900's Taiwan, beautiful art style, unique and satisfying gameplay mechanics, interesting boss fights, great soundtracks, and multiple endings, the game excelled in many aspects. However, it had some unfair platforming sections and repetitive combat towards the end. Overall, the game's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, making it a remarkable experience that left me craving for more historically-inspired games of similar caliber.

A Hidden Gem That Deserved More Attention Downstairs is one of those rare games that quietly hides far more depth than it initially shows. At first glance it may look like a simple indie roguelike, but the longer you play, the more you realize how many systems, secrets, and emergent mechanics are layered underneath. What makes this game special is how items and weapons interact in unexpected ways.

We will set off, in the shoes of a hero named Yasha, on a journey to a world equipped with time portals that will allow him to access secret places that, with the help of his friends, he will have to try to save the Great Forest from drought. It will not be easy to bring it back to life because the forest is full of aggressive creatures! Our hero, gradually will walk into the forest, will soon learn to fly with a talit and defeat the creatures by throwing, like a boomerang, with his magic hat. Each time we free a portal we will unlock new levels to win valuable prizes: New magic hats that we can customize. In addition, we can go to the library and understand what type of use that hat can have. It is accompanied by melodies full of catchy motifs that are never obvious. Here the mechanics evolve, the world expands and with each level we learn more about this mysterious place. The story evolves with us and the next level brings new challenges. There is no single path here, only our will will lead us to continue or stop.  How far are you willing to go to discover all the secrets?

Creatures of Ava is a family-friendly experience and therefore, comfortable. Who hasn’t spent hours searching for adorable creatures in vibrant, joyful worlds, with the aim of collecting them? In Creatures of Ava, the premise is similar, although the main objective is a bit different. This is an experience that overflows with affection, carrying a touching story that shows players the importance of bonds between individuals, understanding different ideologies, and finally, the cycle of life and its self-regeneration.

Button City is a very fun and stylish single-player narrative adventure featuring a poly-style of classic 90s vibe arcade games with tons of fantastic characters that will keep you engaged the whole way through as it has a rather solid story too!

It is a narrative-driven mobile experience developed by an emerging indie studio, designed to deliver a deep and emotionally immersive journey on Android and iOS devices. Most indie devs try to make icons that “look cool.” I did the same for years, and it cost us thousands of downloads over time. The app icon has one purpose, and one purpose only: Trigger enough emotions so that the player clicks your listing. Here is a few things I learned about creating the perfect app icon: 1. Bright colors win Your App Icon competes with thousands of others, stronger colors will make your icon stick out. 2. Angry or Sad faces convert better than happy ones. This is something I actually learned from YouTube Thumbnail theory. In my old company we boosted visitors by 24% by JUST going from Happy -> Sad face. 3. Simplicity beats details The icon is so small so it is important that the icon isn't too cluttered. For Monkey King: Legend of Heroes, we first used a clean blue icon with our main character(see the image) Then we swapped it for a bright red icon with an angry Monkey King… Store listing visitors increased by 109% in one week. It is quite simple: your app icon is not a decoration. It is an emotional trigger that decides if someone will visit your store page or not.

It's a game that will keep you smiling throughout as it takes you on a reference-filled trip through the universe and time to save everyone from imminent doom. Are you familiar with Ratchet & Clank?
