Until Then - A Bundle Of Spectacular Sparks Filled With Emotions & Adventure.
382 View2024-09-15'Until Then' is truly a one-of-a-kind game. The intro, art style, narration, story, characters, music, dialogues, mini-games, and everything else were really impressive.
After finishing the game, I felt like rain had washed over me. At first, I was caught off guard (especially because of the final scene) and soon felt the coldness of the rain. But then I was happy and content with how everything seemed to make sense. When it was finally over, it left me feeling a bit empty as well.
Also, because of this game, I learned a few things related to the Philippines, such as: Tahanan means 'Destiny', Bagong means 'New', what Noche Buena is and how it is celebrated there, the fact that Gulaman is a Filipino drink, and as per Filipino myth, butterflies/moths are believed to be the souls of deceased loved ones who visit us. Well on a side note, it also pushed me into the rabbit hole of looking into double-slit experiments, quantum entanglement, quantum splitting, and such.
Overall, this game has gifted me with a whirlwind of emotions and knowledge, while reminding me to hold close and look out for our loved ones, as well as not to hold onto things that are out of our control. Because to fully move forward, we need to cut loose all the ties from our past that are holding us back.
I'm really glad I got to play this amazing and wonderful game. Kudos to the devs for creating such a masterpiece, that has truly left a spark. Looking forward to their next game.
Totally recommends everyone to give it a shot. (Side note: Just sit through the entire credit scene after the racing game, believe me it's only just the start.)
