100 detectives vs 100 criminals? Methods: The Detective Competition is the ultimate mystery game

SHOULD I PLAY METHODS: DETECTIVE COMPETITION? Play it if you like mystery games with a sense of humor. In Methods: Detective Competition, one hundred detectives face off against one hundred master criminals. As you might expect, this plot requires a huge cast of characters, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of them. It’s more like a visual novel than an investigation game, but it’s still given me plenty of chances to test out my sleuthing skills.

IT FUFILLED MY EVERY WISH FOR AN INTERACTIVE NOVEL

Game: Until Then Platform: PC Genre: Interactive Fiction, Visual Novel, Mystery, Drama, 2D Overview Until Then is a really well-done Interactive Visual Novel, and despite the fact that it is only available as a Demo currently, it has the potential to catch and pull you in hook line and sinker. On the surface, it does not appear to be very appealing, but as you get into the game, you will realize how jaw-dropping it actually is.

My Child Lebensborn LITE is a simulation game about experiencing how to raise a child. In this game you act as a parent in the post WW2 era where you decide to adopt a child (Girl/Boy). The game then starts with you experienceing the day to day challenges of raising a child. The game has beautiful artwork the background music is also very good but the most interesting part of the game is the experience that you get. You are present in the post World war 2 era where they are very few sources of entertainment, limited scope of employment and a lot of disturbance in general and in such environment you are experiencing what it feels to raise a child you just adopted. So the game sheds light on the difficult times that people faced after the World war 2 happened and personally I had a very great time playing this game. It basically focuses around the relationship of a child and parent in that era. The highlights are the challenges that come to you as a parent such as what would you do to earn money how would you spend time so that your child gets all that attention and love that he or she deserves. Like I said, I enjoyed the game, but there were many times in the game when I could feel the pressure of how difficult it is to raise a child. For example, every morning the child wakes up, and like every child, he has his own needs; similarly, here the child demands certain things, such as he wants the school bag, or he wants someone to play with, or he wants to go out or see a new place, and you, as a single parent, have to choose what kind of response you would give, and according to that response, the overall development of your child depends, so it is a very hard-hitting game. If you look at it as a game, it is very good, but if you understand that this is also something that happens in real life, it was a bit much for me.

What if you were lost in space? The Invincible is Firewatch with a science fiction twist

SHOULD I PLAY THE INVINCIBLE? Play it if you’re a fan of old-school hard science fiction, but skip it if you’re not big on interactive fiction. The Invincible tells a slow-paced but fascinating story based on the Stanislaw Lem novel of the same name. Dr. Yasna, a biologist on an interstellar mission, wakes up alone on a strange planet with no memory of how she got there. It’s a fantastic premise, and the story is expertly told, but the gameplay doesn’t always live up to the quality of the narrative. It’s not for everyone, but if you’ve enjoyed other walking simulators like

Roleplay as a Occult Librarian with Book of Hours!

Book of Hours (Reviewed) Developer: Weather Factory Publisher: Weather Factory Released: Aug 17th, 2023 Price: $30 USD Book of hours is a very unique and weird take on time management cult simulation. It's not quite a card game, and it's not quite a story game. Yet you feel obligated to keep pushing for that "one more try" before the hours change to multiple digits and the days fly by, regardless of whether or not any genuine progress has been made.

Sometimes a great location is all it takes to make a game really shine. Pitstop in Purgatory is the perfect example of that, presenting players with a compellingly weird version of the afterlife that's full of mystery and intrigue. I took on the role of Astrid, a young woman who dies at the beginning of the game. Death is just the beginning, though, as she wakes up in a strange place—neither heaven nor hell, but somewhere in between—and must figure out how to keep going forward.

KNOCK ON THE COFFIN LID - A FANTASTIC DECKBUILDER!

It is best to wait till the devs work on the necessary QoL adjustments that make the game less stressful in terms of player retention, especially if you stop playing halfway through one day and come back the next because your file may become corrupted causing crashes until you start a new run or a new save if you're from EA. They have made significant progress in resolving as many of these issues as quickly as possible, while also continually updating the game with many patches on a daily basis, which is commendable for such a small team of 5 developers.

The game really has a pack of suspense wrapped around it tackling life and death

The graphics are a bit eerie for me, but I can't get enough of so many puzzles to solve that it makes me play it even further. 😲 I am intrigued by the storyline of Astrid as she progresses and discovers her identity as to who she is, and how she ended up in the middle world. Honestly, for a small price in the Play Store, I think this game is really great, and I would definitely love to see this through.

This musical visual novel is interesting, but the story stops before it really gets going

Concerto on White has a lot of interesting ideas, but the current version of the game just wasn't engaging enough to keep my interest. Part visual novel, part music simulation game, Concerto on White takes place at Concordia Academy of Music, a school attended by some of the world's most talented muscians. You play as Macaron, a modestly talented student who was admitted to the academy under mysterious circumstances.

THE COSMIC WHEEL SISTERHOOD - Mixed Feelings

An appealing Pixel-Art visual novel complemented by a unique tarot card reading in which you can customize your own decks with special skills to read into each of the guests' history and future. Ultimately shifting their fortunes in opposite paths. Unfortunately, because of the improper topics, it's a really difficult game to swallow.

It can go on par with high-end PC games with tons of mysteries to uncover

I have always been curious about the concept of life after death and having a game like this really fuels your imagination of what it is like to be in purgatory. Well, who isn't? Alongside that, the game has so many puzzles that you need to solve to progress to the game, which makes it much more addictive to play. For a small price, it definitely lived up to its price, and I can't wait to play it during my past time.

It's average at best, generic visual novel on playstore. Sadly, microtransactions are present. Edit: Dialogues are beyond cringe, I'd be better off watching dry paint instead.

Obey Me! Nightbringer - A DEN OF IKEMEN DEMONS!... And A VERY FAMILIAR RHYTHM GAME Style.

I've never played the first Obey Me! game, I am not really the target audience for this game. But I thought I'd give Obey Me! Nightbringer a try since I read that there is a rhythm game mixed into the game as well. And well... yeah this is an interesting and very jam packed game indeed. Gameplay wise this game has you play as a female protaganist that gets magically sent to the Devildom, and you meet some handsome demons who all seem to have an interest in you.

Until Then - A Bundle Of Spectacular Sparks Filled With Emotions & Adventure.

'Until Then' is truly a one-of-a-kind game. The intro, art style, narration, story, characters, music, dialogues, mini-games, and everything else were really impressive. After finishing the game, I felt like rain had washed over me. At first, I was caught off guard (especially because of the final scene) and soon felt the coldness of the rain. But then I was happy and content with how everything seemed to make sense. When it was finally over, it left me feeling a bit empty as well.

A DETECTIVE GAME THAT DRIFTS HEAVILY INTO A NOVEL

I've always been an huge fan of detective games. AI Somnium Files, Dangonronpa, and many others come to mind, so I was enthusiastic to try to solve challenging puzzles and mysteries, but to my disappointment, I found that it was largely a decently done Visual Novel with extremely simple solutions to each crime.
