Have you ever sat down and thought to yourself at some point, "I want to play a really chill game that's wholesome, colorful, and a lot of fun that doesn't take much time"?
Well, search no further! Button City is exactly the sort of game you'd fall in love with. Button City is a very fun and stylish single-player narrative adventure featuring a poly-style of classic 90s vibe arcade games with tons of fantastic characters that will keep you engaged the whole way through as it has a rather solid story too!

Story

A new beginning
While the game is largely about mini-games and having fun, there is a surprising amount of background story that will drive you even more if that isn't enough. You play as Fennel, a nervous little fox that just recently moved into a new city.
He's shy and awkward but manages to get outside and explore the world of Button City. He discovers the local arcade, where he meets very friendly and wonderful people whom he can call friends. This does not last long because the Arcade is being threatened by a big mean Cat who wants to demolish it into so he has room for one of his new businesses. It's up to Fenn and his friends to do everything they can to put a stop to it all by becoming the best Gobabot team at the local arcade!
After being recruited into the local Fluff Squad team, he and his friends band together to raise enough funds to save the arcade and keep it open for future generations, as it is literally the only place in town that can keep the youth occupied and not bored out of their minds, as the alternative would be to play online.

Meet the crew!
Sorrel, Chive, and Lavender are the three other members of the Fluff Squad, who recruited Fennel to their Gobabot team for their local competition. They all have distinct personalities and preferences, ranging from preferring Bean Burritos to really disliking their competition the Tuff Fluffs.
Saffron, Paprika, Cayenne & Sesame are members of the Tuff Fluffs and are the main Fluff Squad rivals who are always looking for a fight, acting tough to ensure that no one stands in their way of winning the tournament, which would result in the arcade being shut down because they initially oppose Fennel and crews idea.

You'll come to know each of them better over time.

Diorama World
The city itself is built on top of each other like a diorama world, making navigating easy because you'll never get lost anywhere; everything is just a button click away. The delicate arrangement, together with the design chosen by the developer while developing this universe, creates a pleasing aesthetic. It exudes playfulness, coziness, and just a genuine fun time, rather than causing any form of visual irritation.

Peaceful exploration
When you're not battling your new opponents at the local arcade or simply having some unadulterated fun. You will guide Fennel through each new location you unlock while, collecting tiny trinkets along the way and saving up for headgear, clothing, and other fun visual modifications to liven up your gameplay as you complete side quests!

Gameplay

Where the fun begins!
A small packed game, if not the mini-games at the very least the conversations and quirky characters with all of their ups and downs. If you're looking for fast paced game-play and things of this nature, then this game is not for you. It's essentially Animal Crossing meets Night in the woods on a much smaller scale.
You might be into gameplay like OSU and fancy a try at the rhythm mini-games, they are actually all quite well done, especially with all of the bonus modifications.
TapTap
Gobabot
You have a reasonable number of arcade game options, and while I always wished there were more, there is plenty here to keep you busy. You might try for the competitions by playing some Gobabot practice fights so that you have the power.
TapTap
Drag Racing
Perhaps you'd be more interested in some drag racing with Initial D. There are several high scores to beat that will reward you with various achievements. So there's definitely a lot of replay-ability because each mini-game is fun in their own way.

Conclusion

TapTap
It doesn't take much to enjoy
It's just a very charming and wholesome game; what more could you want? It's a outstanding games that will keep you entertained. Surprisingly, there are almost 10 hours of base gameplay for what you pay for. That isn't too bad given that it was a solo-developed game with a lot of work put into making it as fun as possible.
Check it out for yourself!
