Infinite Borders is A gacha-style strategy game entering its closed beta test phase. And though it's gotten quite the hype in Asia, my first thought was, is this just another PTW strategy game? And although I didn't hit any paywalls in my playthrough, there are certainly things that stood out (for better and for worse), which ultimately left me thinking that Infinite Borders is worth keeping an eye on.

I love tower defense games, and I have a self-admitted weakness for gacha when it's done right, so of course Watcher of Realms was going to appeal to me! In this title, each of my towers was represented in the form of a character I could pull from the gacha and power up individually through leveling, equipping gear, and so on. Square Enix has spent the past few years rebuilding a lot of its old-school credibility with a bunch of high-quality pixel-art games using what that publisher calls "HD-2D" visuals. Think stuff like Octopath Traveler, where it's using pixel visuals that would feel at home on the Super Nintendo, but with a level of quality that classic hardware couldn't possibly pull off. It's a wonder that more other publishers and developers haven't tried to follow Square's example, which is why I was immediately interested in Knightingale, a gacha game with JRPG aesthetics and an absolutely beautiful look being created by NetEase. And while the first closed beta for Knightingale definitely has some very big technical issues, I'm impressed and cautiously optimistic with the actual game here.

I'm totally unfamiliar with the original Brown Dust, but Brown Dust 2 has almost immediately and completely won me over as my favorite gacha game I've played since last year's Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent. Like that game, Brown Dust 2 uses absolutely gorgeous hi-res pixel art and storytelling that feels like it comes from the Super Nintendo era of classic Japanese role-playing games.

Art: 10/10 Voice: 9/10 Lore: 10/10 Gameplay: 8/10 Concept: 10/10 There's a reason why it's rated 4.6 on Google play. That's simply because it's AWESOME. The art is so so good!!! Theses men and women have me on choke hold. The gameplay really does challenge you and there are times where you have to pause the progress because your team is weak. Overall, this game's concept is truly unforgettable. Prison gacha? Count me in.

In terms of giving game money generosity to pull I believe Blue Archive for me. For its rate though, you have to be really lucky to get what you want, but I have much more luck in this game compared to the other games which said to be generous but literally have me to use 15k game money to get the character every single time. So yeah, bit biased.

Of course it's Honkai. It's literally the Holy Grail of Gacha games. PGR, Night Hunter, upcoming Aether Gazer etc ARPG gacha games exists only because of Honkai. It gives you an S rank from the beginning then 3 more from events and within a week you have like 4-7 S rank characters. In PGR, you can barely hit 3. I played PGR for over a year. I got twice as S rank as did in PGR in the time period. Mainly because, it doesn't really have that many characters.

Easily the most generous gacha out there, you can literally get almost every character in the game even as f2p

Grand Quest just entered open beta, and as someone who's always searching for my next go-to gacha game, I had to give it a shot. So far, I'm definitely pretty impressed, though it has some work to go. Perhaps the biggest surprise in Grand Quest, especially when compared to other gacha games, is that the story is pretty entertaining and well-translated. Much of it is told through stylish comic book-panel cutscenes, and I was shocked to find myself actually enjoying getting to know these characters.
