The first thing that came to mind when I loaded into Somnolent for the first time was the PlayStation 2. This game's chunky, low-detail models reminded me perfectly of games from that era. And it's an era I loved, so I was immediately in the mood to fall for Somnolent! My first hour or so was promising too. This is a full 3D action-RPG that honestly looks and feels pretty great. Even using touch controls, I was able to get into a good flow of combat and didn't have too many problems with the game's platforming challenges. I started leveling up quickly, and the game throws loot at the player like crazy, which is a blast.

Man this game gave me hope...then it yanked it away brutally. I felt like some mouse that had been roped in with cheese without seeing the trap of despair ahead. They showed us great graphics with souls like combat in a zombie setting but gave us a janky, clunky, unable to work at max settings, arpg with annoying boss attack patterns and more janky clunky skills. And how many of you really think that laying off staff and hiring new people will suddenly make this game optimized? I’m not a child; I know how game development works.
