Man this game gave me hope...then it yanked it away brutally. I felt like some mouse that had been roped in with cheese without seeing the trap of despair ahead. They showed us great graphics with souls like combat in a zombie setting but gave us a janky, clunky, unable to work at max settings, arpg with annoying boss attack patterns and more janky clunky skills. At Summer Game Fest 2023, Square Enix surprised us by announcing a colorful four-versus-four shooter called Foamstars. The game is all about spraying down enemies and the arena with blue, pink, purple, and green bubbles. Wow. What a game. I have had so much fun playing ricochet squad with my friends, random strangers, bots, and even the team members of Ricochet Squad. Most matches are fun. Some can be boring as well, but the rest are 🔥 Matches are filled with explosions, ragdolling all over the place after dying 😂, seeing your enemies Ragdoll, breaking walls, using other objects all around the map to hurt your enemy or take cover. The matches are so unpredictable, you can have 99% capture and still lose to the enemy if you relax at the end of the match 😡

The first thing that came to mind when I loaded into Somnolent for the first time was the PlayStation 2. This game's chunky, low-detail models reminded me perfectly of games from that era. And it's an era I loved, so I was immediately in the mood to fall for Somnolent! My first hour or so was promising too. This is a full 3D action-RPG that honestly looks and feels pretty great. Even using touch controls, I was able to get into a good flow of combat and didn't have too many problems with the game's platforming challenges. I started leveling up quickly, and the game throws loot at the player like crazy, which is a blast.

SHOULD I PLAY FORT SOLIS? Fort Solis is absolutely worth playing, as long as you know the type of game you’re getting into. And that is, to be clear, a one hundred percent narrative game. Virtually all of the “gameplay” in Fort Solis is made up of walking around the titular creepy abandoned base on Mars, with a small handful of very simple puzzles and quick time events. That said, if you’re down for a creepy, suspenseful story, this one will get under your skin in all the best ways.
